A 28 year-old woman from China named Hu Juan was diagnosed with a rare skin disorder that makes her look twice her age. The disorder is called Cutis Laxa, a disease that makes skin look loose, saggy and wrinkled at much faster speeds than that of a normal human being.

Before and After (11 years apart)

Less than 10 people in the world have been diagnosed with the disorder, and there’s no treatment. Plastic surgery can possibly help remedy her appearance.

Hu Juan’s husband has been by her side for the past 11 years as he watched his beautiful wife age rapidly before his eyes. Hu Juan has avoided mirrors and going outside, but noticed that her young son was growing more distant as if he were ashamed that his mom was so old. She suffered from depression and wanted to kill herself at one point.

A plastic surgery team in Shanghai is being put together to help her appearance.
