Editors Picks of the Week: May 30

The Editors Picks of the Week will help you guys find a new track, drama, anime series, or movie to experience. This column has been on hiatus for a while but now it is resurrected. This week we have picks from Krazoom and 4jpz.

Krazoom’s Picks

Movie: I’m a Cyborg, But That’s OK

Movies don’t get anymore confusing then this but even so it’s still one worth watching. I’m a Cyborg, But That’s OK tells the story of a girl confined to a mantel institution because she believes she is a cyborg. While there she’s comforted by a kleptomaniac (played by Rain).

Anime Series: Tsubasa Chronicles

Sakura, a girl whose memories are engraved in magical feathers loses them and now with the assistance of her friends and strangers is warping through dimensions to find these lost memories. What I find most interesting about this series are the familiar faces from the manga and anime series Cardcapotor Sakura though the characters here are in a totally different time loop then the characters from Cardcaptors.

Track: Seo In Young – Teach Me

I fell in love with Seo In Young when she appeared on the hit reality series We Got Married. Teach Me is a song from her 1st solo album Elly Is So Hot. I think it’s one where she really shows just how talented of a singer she is.

4jpz’s Picks

Movie: Heartbreak Library

It all started with a man ripping the 198th page of almost every book in a public library, and the discovery of the love story behind such an action. Heartbreak Library, also known as The Man Book 198 Pieces, is a movie about heartbreaks and past loves, but more importantly it is about letting go and moving on. Wonderfully portrayed by Lee Dong Wook and Kim Eugene… a must-see drama of past and new loves.

Series: Legend of Hyang Dan

A two-episode saeguk drama which created a different twist to the Legend of Choon Hyang. So, instead of high-class Lee Mong Ryong loving low-class Choon Hyang, he ended up loving Hyang Dan, the servant of Choon Hyang, instead. The story will give a two-hour worth of laughter, action, love story, and an eye candy for Super Junior’s Choi Si Won who plays Lee Mong Ryong and Seo Ji Hye who plays Hyang Dan.

Track: Girls Generation (SNSD) – Gee

Gee is Girls Generation’s comeback single which is included in their first mini-album of the same title. It has a perky and danceable rhythm which is appropriate for a song about first love and the giddy feelings attached to being in love.
