Oh Ji Ho is a model who made a break into acting with the 1998 movie Kka. Since then, he has had several movie and drama series roles, including a supporting role in the series Super Rookie. His first time to be a lead star in a drama series was in the Korean drama, Fantasy Couple, alongside Han Ye Seul. Interestingly, this was also the first time for Han Ye Seul to star in a drama series.

In 2006 Oh Ji Ho also shot the movie My Wife is a Gangster 3, which stars Chinese actress Shu Qi.

In 2007 Oh Ji Ho was caught in the midst of a scandal when his ex-girlfriend committed suicide. It was said that Oh Ji Ho dumped her after he became famous and this was a primary reason for her to commit suicide. Oh Ji Ho went public and denied this.

"This is Oh Ji-ho," the 31-year-old actor began in his personal Web log. He confessed that he still loved the now deceased girl.

"The reason why I am writing is because I still cannot believe she left. I can only weep," he wrote. "It still hurts [thinking about our past], but everything I read now in news reports describing our relationship has become distorted and meaningless."

"I was a celebrity who had to constantly be aware of what others think about me, and she was a girl who was not in a position to be proud of her job," he said (his girlfriend was a barmaid).

Oh said he dated "Anna" for one year before she initiated the breakup. She said she did not want to get in the way of Oh's career

In 2009 he portrayed the lead role in the series, Queen of Housewives.
