When I was younger, my mother had told me that back in Vietnam, teachers would hit children who misbehaved to put them in their place. She horrified me with tales of teachers making their more stinkier students take a bath right in front of the school house or how there was a wooden stick they would use to beat naughty children with.

I was afraid of my own mother’s discipline: kneeling on cement for hours at a time for trying to steal a pack of licorice from the store, a slap across the face for looking to closely at the television screen, and the fearful almighty belt for all other offenses. But when I went school I was surprised and relieved that the teachers didn’t do anything more than sigh when other children acted out or send them to the principal’s office.

Guess what. In Japan and other Asian countries, it is allowed to dish out physical punishment in school for disciplinary action.

Both videos posted are from Japan. Crazy sh*t always comes from Japan! Look at this guy slap this student 13 times right in the face! All while calling him stupid. I don’t think I would have been able to just stand there and take that kind of abuse.

This slap from a teacher to a student is THE END ALL, TO ALL SLAPS! The student is slapped so hard that he is knocked directly out of his own seat. That’s some Dragon Ball Z action right there.

BUT! What if the reverse happened? What if a student was using force against a teacher? Check out this video.

You see cultural differences in the videos because there is a huge contrast in how a student fears authority figures in other countries. From my experience, people my age that were hit as children would be a lot more respectful. In the future I’d consider this kind of punishment on my own kids but NEVER would I let anyone else touch a hair on my nonexistent children!
