A Japanese Woman stranglers her husband when she didn’t receive a gift for Japan’s White Day. Read on to find out more.
White Day is a holiday often celebrated in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and China a month after Valentine’s Day on March 14. The holiday was created by the National Confectionery Industry Association as a response to the way Valentine’s Day is celebrated in these Asian nations, where the women give gifts to men, so that men would have a day to give back to those women a month later.
Great. So to recap the NCIA created a holiday to balance out another pretty much made up holiday in order for everybody to have another unneeded awkward social obligation to adhere to. Thanks a lot ya dicks.
Well looks like the NCIA’s “good intentions” for gift giving and by no means selfish greed, backfired as a woman in Osaka Prefecture, Japan apparently strangled her husband when she didn’t receive a gift on White Day.
Nishiyama Mie, who runs a beauty salon , apparently flew into a rage when she did not receive a gift on White Day. However Nishiyama denies trying to actually kill her husband, rather she just wanted to choke him a bit. As Nishiyama described it:
“It pissed me off that he didn’t give me anything back for White Day, and so I choked him with a tie, but I had no intention of killing him”.
Yep just a little choking that’s all. Nope doesn’t sound crazy, not one bit. Said no one ever, especially her husband who at dawn after the choking transpired, called the police. When the police arrived Nishiyama’s husband had collapsed on the ground and although marks appeared on his neck that clearly indicated choking, police believe his life was not in danger.
So there you have it folks a made up holiday in Japan that sounds more like what a Klan meeting calls its social mixers resulted in a man getting choked because he didn’t give a gift for his wife.
