Donnah Pham, the Sizzling Amped Asia Photoshoot

When I first met Donnah Pham, I was only a newbie photographer working on Amped Asia as a hobby. Donnah was a young 19-year-old who had just gotten into the import modeling scene. Now, 4 years later, life has changed for both of us. Amped Asia is a thriving publication, and Donnah is one of the industry’s most sought after import models. A young 23 year old, Donnah’s gone through a lot as a model and a person. She now has a son named Kesler that she proudly shares with her fans on her Instagram. Her name has become well known in the automotive industry, and she has one of the most active fanbases amongst all the models. And yes, she’s still smokin’ hot even after all these years.

Is it fun being an import model?

Donnah Pham: Yeah I love it. I’ve always wanted to be a model. When I was 14 I wanted to be an import model, but they said I was too young. What’s funny is that the guy that emailed me at 14 got ahold of me when I turned 18. But he didn’t remember 14-year-old me at the car show.

But there’s always pros and cons to everything. There’s always bad comments and haters on Instagram, Facebook, etc. You learn to ignore it. No one’s done anything to me in person, though, luckily.

There’s times when I don’t feel good when the haters bring up my son Kesler. That stuff does hurt a lot and gets to me because it sucks when they bring your family into it. But I have to ignore it. My advice is to just ignore everything.

Your kid is probably going to hate all your sexy photos when he grows up.

Donnah Pham: I’ve always wondered what would happen. My kid’s friends might be looking at my pictures haha. How weird would it be if your mom was an import model? Lol. I asked my boyfriend what he would do if his mom was an import model, and he said he would hate it. It’s funny because his mom is kind of hot so some of his friends tell him that, and he really hates that. I think it’s hilarious though.

It’s okay, at least you’re not a pornstar.

Donnah Pham: Yeah seriously. I would never do that to my kid. That would be so traumatising to discover your mom in a video or having your friends see your mom.

Do you do other things besides import modeling?

Donnah Pham: I work at a lounge, and I’m still going to school. I’m trying to get into nursing, but I’m just finishing my pre-reqs right now. It’s going to be another 4 years until I become a nurse. So imagine in 4 years I could be your nurse.

You’ve been getting a lot more following lately. What has led to that?

Donnah Pham: I try to post up as many pictures as I can. Post updates of myself and pictures. I always get more likes when people share my photos. Especially now that Instagram is so big. I really like Instagram a lot more than Facebook so it’s easier to update the fans.

When I was just starting out it was Tumblr that really helped me out. I saw my photos go everywhere on Tumblr and people would ask who that was. I would go and comment that it was me and that’s sort of how I got my initial following.

Are you single or taken?

Donnah Pham: Taken!

What made you like your current boyfriend?

Donnah Pham: My current boyfriend chased after me for a while. I was 18 at the time and had a different boyfriend, but that relationship was ending. At the time I wasn’t ready to date again, but he chased me for a long time even though I rejected him so many times. He said I love you even before we were dating and I told him “no” so many times. But he kept at it and eventually I really liked him and realized that we should be together.

How has having a boyfriend affected being an import model?

Donnah Pham: I’m very blessed. He’s very supportive. I think the only thing was he got mad at was when some guys would say nasty sexual things about me. Other than that he’s cool with me being an import model. Me and him are so attached to each other. We’re always together — there’s never a night where he needs a guy’s night out or I need a girl’s night out. His friends are my friends and he never leaves me at home alone.

Ever since I was 15 I’ve had nothing but long relationships. I had a 2 and half year relationship before him that got boring. But then I met him and it felt really great for our entire 4-year relationship, and we also have a child together.

As far as physical attributes for guys, what kind of guys do you like?

Well my boyfriend is pretty big. So I like that. And of course I like ripped guys. When me and my boyfriend became parents we both kind of laid off on exercise, though.

What’s the key to a good long-term relationship?

I think first of all you have to make sure you trust each other. If you don’t trust each other and you always think you’re up to something bad then it’s going to cause a ton of fights. Don’t immediately think that he or she is going to cheat on you.

Also persistence will help you get the girl. My boyfriend would never have gotten me if he didn’t keep on trying after I rejected him so many times.

Who’s the hottest female that could turn you lesbian?

Lol, is it weird if I choose a friend? Steph Ly kind of, but she’s more like my big sister instead of my lesbian crush. She’s a really caring girl and a very nice person.

I also have a girl crush on Rihanna.

What about male celebrity crushes?

I find a lot of rappers to be attractive. Chris Brown. Kid Ink.

Whoa, those guys look a lot different than your (Asian) boyfriend.

Well he likes Keri Hilson. So it’s all good.

Any final messages?

I just want to say I had a lot of fun shooting AGAIN with Amped Asia and that you guys rock. Thanks so much for working with me Kevin. Keep up the amazing magazine. I love you all!!! XOXO
