The Blatantly Racist Holland’s Got Talent Judge

As a Chinese person I get really sick of non Chinese people or anyone really telling me to “lighten up” or “it’s just a joke” when I am offended by someone’s dumbass racist remarks. Just like you have a right to not be offended by it, I reserve the right to be offended by it. To mask or justify blatant racism, bigotry, and dehumanizing degradation of a person’s self worth based on something like race, an attribute one does not have a choice in picking, is straight up bullshit. Yes, jokes are jokes, and yes even I admit that when used tactfully or intelligently, race can of course be a source of comedy that can show that as people our differences are not that many and in fact we are all pretty similar. But when you do something like what this dumbass does, you should get punched in the face. By Ernesto Hoost.

Also to anyone who is like “dude chill out its not that bad,” I most certainly will not. Somehow or another it seems that when it comes to race, Asian people are expected to just accept or go along with the racism. Bullshit. If the same type of “humor” was applied to any other race, would you be as comfortable in telling them to lighten up? So why do you think it’s ok to say that to Asians that are offended?
