On a fundraising show of "Send Out Your Love" on the 18th of May, Taiwanese pop sensations including Jay Chou and former girlfriend, Jolin Tsai appeared to be helping out as becoming one of the telephone workers where their duties were to answer donator's call.
At first, Jay felt disoriented on what he was suppose to do or what to say when someone calls in for a donation. The nearby workers explained to him that there is a script on the table that he will be using when interacting with the donator. All he has to do was ask about the caller's donation and personal details.
After listening to his first call, he immediately turn to co-workers for helping asking questions like "What should I do?" or "Does it matter if I wrote it wrong?"
After a few more calls, he felt nervous by asking for help again. He nervously asked, "The volume on the phone is really low, what if I write my number wrong?"
Kim Sung Hee's departure (hopefully temporarily) from KARA, because of health and school reasons, led to DSP holding online auditions to fill her spot at UCSING a few months ago. Now, at the end of the contest, DSP has announced their 3 new trainees who will take Kim Sung Hee's spot in the girl group. Out of the 3, they will choose only TWO, therefore one will not be able to make it to KARA. The trainees are:

so on my hw break. I thought i search on you tube for Rolling With Love's opening theme song to listen because it's sung by Fahrenheit dude! XD. haha and yes indeed i fell in love with that song, titled, Heng Xing (Star) by Fahrenheit.....anywho then i see a new song title that i know for sure i haven't heard before. Clicked on it and it says Fahrenheit's japanese single!!!! so then i listened and chea Fahrenheit is singing in Japanese! =] lol. so then i go on the Fahrenheit site i like to go to, cause it has news about Fahrenheit and all that. It's listed below as a source and I found this out! and ya it gave me the whole explanation of why Fahrenheit has a song sung in japanese! hehe =] so chea i thought i share the news with you guys. and lucky me i also found the single already! XD. haha.

In 2008, two 'Iljimae's will find the home theater.
The SBS historical drama "Iljimae", starring Lee Joon-ki, will air from the 21st after "On Air". In response, MBC is airing drama "Iljimae", starring Lee Seung-gi, at the end of the year. It is unconventional for two dramas with the same title to air on public television in the same year. Thus, it is inevitable that we compare 'Joon-ki's Iljimae' and 'Seung-gi's Iljimae'.
Lee Joon-ki's "Iljimae"
Green Snake Media, the production company of SBS "Iljimae", gave up purchasing the copyright of Ko Woo-yeong's comic due to production costs, and are using an original story based on the story of a chivalrous robber. The setting is the Chosun era, and Iljimae is faced with breaking the rules of social status and the pursuit of reform.
Actor Lee Joon-ki, who rose to stardom with "The King and the Clown", is the main character, and he is to show historical acting and action skills that he has perfected. A representation of the production company said, "Different from Ko Woo-yeong's Iljimae that has his stage in Southeast Asia, SBS Iljimae will have his stage within Korea, which will express the Korean sentiment in a better way".
In response to what genre it is, he said, "There is a satire of today's society, but it's not a fusion historical drama as "Hong Gil Dong". It is a drama of chivalry that is seasoned with comedy".
The plan to show Lee Joon-ki, like Lupin, MacGyver, or Zorro, who appears at any time and vanishes mysteriously, is drawing much interest.
In addition to Lee Joon-ki, they have a great cast of Han Hyo-joo, Park Si-hoo, Lee Yeong-ah, Kim Chang-wan, Lee Moon-sik, Jo Min-ki, Kim Seong-ryeong, Son Tae-yeong, Lee Won-jong, Ahn Kil-kang, and Kim Roi-ha.
Lee Seung-gi's "Iljimae"
MBC is remaking Ko Woo-yeong's famous comic "Iljimae". Lee Seung-gi, who is the main character, will show the original with sadness, humor, and satire. Although Lee Seung-gi has less acting experience than Lee Joon-ki, Lee Seung-gi is currently very popular, so the battle for ratings is still unknown.
If Lee Joon-ki's 'Iljimae' starts with the personal desire to avenge his family's death, Lee Seung-gi's 'Iljimae' shows decisive opposition for social discrimination and exploitation. As the original comic mixes fantasy, Lee Seung-gi acts as the hero that everyone wants more than staying faithful to a historical background.
Iljimae, who comes back from studying abroad, realizes the true situation of exploited Chosun, and becomes a chivalrous robber to help the people, and the producers will insert many episodes from the original.
The producing company, Jipi Workshop, of MBC "Iljimae" started producing after receiving the copyright after battling for it against Green Snake Media last February. They began filming in March, and the staff is looking around the whole nation to find a traditional house, a river, a cave, and mountains to set the stage for the drama.
Presently, MBC plans for 24 episodes of 70 minutes each, and they are targeting to air by the end of the year. The reason why they are focusing on organization more than ever is because it is rare for two broadcasting companies to have two dramas with the same name and similar stories in the same year.
Jipi Workshop is remaining faithful to the script and even requested certification of the storyline from Green Snake Media to protect the original work.

Hyun Bin of "My Name is Kim Sam Soon" and Song Hae Gyo of "Full House" and "Endless Love 1" will come together to new series called "The World They Live in".
Bin plays a promising director, Jeong Ji-Oh while Song plays director Joo Joon-yeong, who has experienced directing plays and tries a miniseries. Overcoming the complications that arise from unspoken barriers within the drama field is the foundation of the story.
The production company, YEG, said, "Director Pyo Min-soo, who has a prominent way of subtly expressing emotions, and writer Noh Hee-kyeong held a long search for actors who could embrace the character in the best way".

Horikita Maki has been given the title of "Miss Cotton" for this year Cotton USA Awards. This is the 5th year and actually it's to help promote the cotton industry. The awards are given to celebrities who possess "softness" and "freshness," just like cotton.
Together with Maki, Eiko Koike got the title Mrs. Cotton (she married pro wrestler Wataru Sakata last August). TOKIO's Taichi Kokubun was chosen as Mr. Cotton.

What's on earth? Who make crimes? Our people didn't do anything. Those junta do those crimes. Why don't earthquakes kill those at Naypyidaw. I can't imagine what's happening.
Another Storm is coming. And Aids are all wasted. Military Junta who ruled the country robbed the aids from both local and foreign, and labeled as their aids (to get votes for 'yes') while most of the people are starving and die of flood. And they stole most of the aids including "Nutrient Biscuits" for their army. And now they are driving back all the help Agencies. Most of the people haven't drink a single drop of water for 3 days. And in some regions, they refused refugees to give those aids and even beat! Some were driven off from the Monasteries and schools (used as refugee camps).

Filipino teen singer and stage performer Sam Concepcion sang "Kung Fu Fighting," the theme song for Dreamworks animated movie "Kung Fu Panda." The said single will be included in the Asian/International soundtrack of Kung Fu Panda.
Concepcion was very happy upon hearing the good news. The opportunity all started when he submitted a demo to United International Pictures, who in turn sent the demo to Dreamworks. The office of Steven Spielberg approved of the demo.
The theme song for the U.S. soundtrack will be sang by American hiphop, funk, soul, and R&B musician Cee-Lo Green and Hallyu star Rain will sing the Korean version of the same song.
Concepcion was the champion for Little Big Star's Season 1 aired in 2005. This is the same contest where singing sensation Charice Pempengco placed third. He also played as Troy Bolton in the Philippine version of Disney's High School Musical on Stage.
His music video for Kung Fu Fighting, which was shot in a Chinese temple in Malabon, Philippines, will be shown at the end of the movie. Kung Fu Panda will hit theaters worldwide this coming June 2008.
One of China's deadliest earthquake struck central China leaving a death toll of 9,000 killed so far.
The earthquake has trapped 900 students under the rubble and causing a toxic chemical leak around the area, state media reported.
The 7.8 magnitude earthquake devastated a hill region of small cities and towns in Sichuan and nearby provinces, killing nearly 8,533 people and dozens of others on surrounding areas.
Report say 80 percent of the building in Beichuan county in Sichuan province crumbled to the floors after the earthquake, raising fears that the overall death toll could increase sharply.
Also, a chemical plant catered, burying hundreds of people, and spilling 80 tons of toxic ammonia from the site, media reported.
The earthquake sent thousands of people rushing out of buildings and into the streets hundreds of miles away in Beijing and Shanghai. The temblor was felt as far away as Vietnam and Thailand also.

Smallville's leading lady, Kristin Kreuk, will be starring as Chun-Li in the Street Fighter spin-off "Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li". Street Fighter is a popular video game franchise which has already made a movie and a cartoon show in the past. Hopefully this Chun-Li spin-off and Kristin Kreuk's charm will be a bigger success than it's predecessors.
Also rumored in the movie is Moon Bloodgood, the hot woman from Journeyman. ^_^ it's just a rumor though. When more information is available, I will update this thread. Until then, go play Street Fighter as Chun-Li to warm up.
