KangTaKangta’s rise to stardom was a part of H.O.T. (High-five of Teenagers), which is now a defunct boy band. At the age of 13 years old, KangTa was discovered at an amusement park. He first debuted as a back-up dancer with fellow HOT member, Moon Hee Jun, for singer Yoo Young Jin. He decided to enter the music industry, and SM Entertainment formed HOT, recruiting him, Jang Woo Hyuk, Lee Jae Won and Tony Ahn. Although H.O.T. disbanded in 2001 because they were getting older, KangTa debuted as a solo artist only a few months later. His album, "Polaris" turned out to be a big hit in Asia, and he released another album entitled "Pine Tree" the next year (2002). For more KangTa photos, look down at our KangTa photo galleries.
