Jo Hyun Jae Biography
Jo Hyun Jae, a South Korean actor, became known to Korean television viewers when he appeared for a few minutes as a prince in the epic drama
Daemang.
Prior to this drama, Jo Hyun Jae started as the main vocalist for the defunct R&B group Guardians, modeled for some commercials, appeared in three dramas, and was given a role for the movie
Untold Scandal, which gave him the incentive to audition for
Daemang, which in turn became a stepping stone for him to have the lead role in the Korean drama
Love Letter. He also appeared in a number of dramas like
Nine Tailed Fox and
Only You which was shown in other Asian countries.
His talent as an actor was challenged in his role as the lead character in the epic television drama The Ballad of Seo Dong. He was able to internalize an extensive script given on the same day of shoot; understandably make 50 bloopers yet can continue acting as if nothing happened.
This introvert hunk captured women’s hearts and sensibilities with his sincere-looking gaze and gentle speech making him a very popular male star among women. His fans named his fan site Carpe Diem after Hyun Jae which means “present” in Korean. His devoted fans also sent lunchboxes for six people faithfully on every shooting day of The Ballad of Seo Dong.
