Jimmy Lin Biography
Jimmy Lin who called by his fans "CEO" is not just a singer, an actor, a businessman but also a car racer.
Lin started as a singer at the age of 17 where he released his first album "Not Every Love Song has Fond Memories" which made him famous not just in Asia but also in United States. Because of this, he sets a records for being the youngest singer (18) ever to hold a concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum and the first singer to hold concert in Suntec City Foundation of Wealth in Singapore in 1999. So far, Lin released 17 albums thus not included compilations and special editions. On October 17, 2008, Lin held his first concert in Shanghai, China where 25,000 fans went and sang him Happy Birthday during the event. During his singing career, he also did movies and tv series as cameo roles and guest appearances but not until he had his first major role in "Heavenly Legend" where he plays the role of the Monkey King. Lin already filmed 31 movies and series including the popular hit tv series "My Lucky Star". On November 15, 2008, together with Charlene Choi, Julian Cheung and Alice Lau, Lin performed Live Musical in Shanghai base in the 1933 version of "Knight's Star Light." He received a total of 18 awards for movies, televisions and music including 1996 Top Ten Idols Award and 1993 HK Hottest Mandarin Singer Gold Award.
Lin also owns and managed the business Jimmy Racing, a car dealership, a racing consulting company in Zhuhai, and a restaurant in Taipei called Dream Family Café.
Lin decided to realize his dream of a racer in 1997. He won 1st Place in China Formula International Race in 2001. In 2006, Lin formed Jimmy Racing Team. Lin participated in some racing events that made him won trophies and awards. Lin owns Porsche 996, Ferrari F430 (red), Ferrari F575 (black), Hummer H3, Ford, Lamborghini Gallardo (yellow), and several motorcycles. On October 26, 2008, he was formally inducted into the China F1 TianRong Powerboat Racing Team in ShenZhen, China. He will train in 2009 in order to get his F1 racing license before he can race for the team.
