Big Bang is a South Korean boy band that debuted in 2006. They are a five-member group signed under YG Entertainment. They've quickly became one of the most popular bands in Korea after their hit single, Lies. Big Bang's five members are G-Dragon (the leader), TOP, Tae Yang, Seung-ri, and Dae Sung. The band also choreographs hip hop dances and some breakdancing, choreographed mostly by their member, Seung-ri. The band has won several awards including the Daesung from the 17th Music Awards and "Best Male Group" and "Song Of The Year" from the 2007 M.NET/KM Music Festival.
Big Bang is also known for their unique hip-hop style that has spread throughout Korea. As opposed to the other Korean boy bands, Big Bang is known for their tougher look and punk style. Because of their unique fashion sense, they've become highly popular with many companies who want to use them for endorsement deals.
