Pretty much all websites that actively stream movies, clips and videos using macromedia flash, have the media file 'embedded' as a .flv file.
In order to download movies from YouTube, Myspace Videos etc, you can either
- watch the entire clip normally in Internet Explorer, Mozilla etc, then go to you cache folder, find the file and rename the extension to .flv
- use these kind of websites, that automatically finds the .flv file on the website for you without having to watch it

Then in order to watch these files
- and then you can either search and download an "flv player" program, or there are ones out there that convert it to media friendly files, or even files capable or converting it to dvd

i just can help you
when you any video you want to download
then you copy the url and paste it into the web
