There are speculation that their is a chance Yao Ming may not be returning to the NBA next season.

The Rockets and Yao's representative are frighten of the future, and the concern if Yao Ming will be able to play again.

For now, the Rockets have told the league peers that it could be a full season before Yao Ming will return to playing basketball.

“It sounds like he"s missing most of next season, if not the entire 82 games,” one league executive who has had recent discussions with the Houston front office told Yahoo! Sports.

Personal note: I hope his injury would recover soon so he can start playing again. The Rockets will need him to even have a slight chance at the Championship again.

ouch, if he's gone for the next season that's not going to be good for the depleted Rockets.

Yeah, his ankle/foot injury must be very severe that he'd have to miss a whole year of gaming..
