Currently the most popular idol actor and singer, it has been said that Taiwan's popular TV station GTV has banned WU ZUN to enter the doors of SETTV's station.

After Wu Zun's performance in "DONG FANG JU LI YE (Tokyo Juliet)" and "HUA YANG SHAO NIAN SHAO NU (Hana-Kimi)", he quickly became the most popular idol, and lately voting poll functions had proved his immense popularity. Because he is too popular, recently there has been a rumor saying that during the airing times of the idol drama "Hana-Kimi" in both the GTV and CTS channels, Wu Zun could not participate in the variety shows hosted by SETTV. Now since "Hana-Kimi" is finally done airing, the TV programs of SETTV wanted Wu Zun to appear in their show, but in return GTV's higher officials gave them a big fat "NO."

No matter if Wu Zun's series are still airing or not, he still could not enter SETTV. The competition between idol dramas and variety shows are going strong, which causes the two big TV stations in Taiwan (GTV, SETTV) to have a huge fight. A staff member revealed that before "Hana-Kimi" aired, SETTV's original notice said that it was alright for Wu Zun to come, but after it started the drama had completely defeated SETTV's "AI QING JING JI YUE (Engagement of Love)". As for canceling Wu Zun's appearance at SETTV, there has been many speculations, and most blamed on the hosts.

However, it is not rare to see that the actors being restricted to be invited from the opposing TV stations. Despite this, lately SETTV has said that they wanted to invite Wu Zun to come over, but GTV forbade Wu Zun to go. One of the crew members for the variety show at SETTV said, "The reason why we want to invite Wu Zun has nothing to do with the dramas, it's because of FAHRENHEHIT. The excuse of WANG DONG CHENG (Jiro Wang) not coming because he's busy filming is what we can accept, but now Wu Zun is busy again?"

The deputy director of GTV, LAI CONG BI, was extremely cautious about the issue yesterday when he was interviewed. He stated, "The reason why a certain entertainer cannot appear in certain TV programs is quite hard to explain. All I can say is that GTV has no right to forbid any entertainer from attending TV programs from any other TV channels."

SETTV's PR deputy director ZHANG ZHENG FEN stated that handling these notices usually will not require the higher officials participation and it is usually handled by the production crew. She said that she had never heard of SETTV forbidding Wu Zun to come and also never heard of that Wu Zun being restricted to be invited.

Wu Zun's management company, Comic, said that she does not know that GTV would not allow Wu Zun to appear in SETTV's variety shows. Previously when the drama was still airing and how Wu Zun was restricted by SETTV to attend its variety shows, she had no other reactions and replied, "Well that's good. Before when his first album was released he helped "WAN CHUAN YU LE" a lot. Now Wu Zun has no specific notices and that is because right now it is not the time for any more promotions. When the second album arrives he will appear again."
