I totally agree with you on that part.

Nobody hacks Macintosh systems nor are Macs at any risk of online worms that can mess up a Windows OS.

Eh...Linux is like a whole new language. I remember my teacher once said, "You would have to be 100% geek to fully understand Linux and make stuff out of it" Big Grin

Lol, 100% geek.

We once tried to get Linux on one of our computers... it did not work out at all. Lol

Linux is useful for developers however. I've seen people use Linux coding to make an older generation of iPod play Super Mario.

Windows, solely based on the applications it can run, more versitile than the Mac

RE: Windows vs. Mac?
Man, I'm at school right now and I had to switch from a Windows to a Mac.

So far, I'd prefer to use Windows because this Mac is slow as heck. Then again, this is a school computer afterall.

I perfer windows because its more commonly used, which means easy suppport if something goes wrong.
Also when windows crash it tells you it crashed with the (popular blue error sign)
now when macs crash they just sit there adn vibrate the sound, (the famous forever ping sound)

RE: Windows vs. Mac?
i run both. i have a macbook, and have a desktop that runs windows.. i personally think mac osx has really cool features and is a better os, but the only thing i despise about it is the compatibility with every other application.. its quite annoying and it pisses me off, but with mac osx i just run parallels so everything is fine.

RE: Windows vs. Mac?
I like Mac OSX but, I have been using Windows for many years so I'm more comfortable running XP. I think OSX is a lot easier to use it's, and it's weird XETN that the mac was slow. I have my mac on for days and wouldn't notice a slow down, but I can't say the same for xp.
