I got like GT everything (whatever everything is.)
lol
actually, to tell you the truth, I have no idea. I didn't get my schedule or anything yet.
But I know I have all GT classes. Oh and I know i'm taking Art 1 and latin. I might change art 1 to journalism
Allow me to try my best to be the nicest I can be! ^_^
Mandarin 3
AP Biology
AP Economics
American Democracy Honors
European Literature Honors
Media Parts
Some kind of math (I'm not big on the whole math thing)
*UPDATE*
Surprisingly I'd managed to add more classes to my list. My counselors thinks that I am crazy trying to balance 4 HL classes and as well as an AP class.
Library Volunteer (Non-credit, early morning at 7)
IB English I (HL)
IB Mathematics (HL)
IB French IV (SL)
IB Psychology (SL)
IB Biology II (HL)
IB History of the Americas (HL)
AP Physics (Got rid of IB Physics for HL Psych and got AP Physics in it's place)
IB Theory of Knowledge (Second Semester During Lunch, I got time for a no lunch period)
Today was my first day of school and already I have around 4 hours worth of assignments and 2+ hours total of reading - fun. I love how my average class size this year is only about 10-15 students and how the teachers sets a much more rapid paced then before.

Ok I know this is going to sound weird, but your missing out on so much by doing so much. School is about more then grades, and by having a course load like that, you are missing out on some of the best days of your life. In one day, you said you had atleast 6 hours of homework, well...how does friends/personal enjoyment fit into that?
I know you can say that there's time for that once school is finished, and your future depends on your schooling now, but honestly what's the point in working for tomorrow, when your life is a daily grind today? For all I know, you might like how your life is right now, but it just seems to be, that you're pushing yourself too hard.

Honestly, studying and working for 6 hours after school on school related assignments is not an amusement. Who else will think it's fun? My schedule might seems packed, but that does not mean I don't try to balance it out with the activities I like doing. Just because I focus more on my academics, does not mean I stop doing the things I love.
For example, one of my favorite hobby is filming and broadcast journalism. Therefore, I try to fit in time to broadcast the school news in my schedule. Also, during holidays and breaks, a few close friends and I get together to shoot independent films for enjoyment. On weekends, I go to the movies and the mall and such with friends like most people. And sometime even on a school night, I take time to watch sport-related competitions or go to a concert.
In conclusion, academics is only 75% of my life, not all of it. Though I think learning new things (not to be confused with working on assignments) is really stimulating, I do not make it my number one priority in life. I rather go out to the movies for a night then to sit till near morning reading. But I am aware that what I do now will greatly impact my future, so I try to be the best that I can be. Regrets is not in my vocabulary. I do not wish to have regrets and look back on a good part of my life thinking to myself "why didn't I try my best back then?".

First off, if that's your choice in life, then I respect it, figured I'd make that clear. However, it just seems so disciplined...yes that's the word for it. It seems to me you've grown up and you are very mature. Now, that's not a bad thing, but, sometimes you have to take the time to be a kid.
In your original post, you said you've received 6+ hours of homework on the first day. Now, 6 hours of homework+a standard school day+eat and sleep seems to be the whole day and then some if you do any clubs/volunteering. That seems to me like you are pushing the limit.
Having no regrets in life is key ofcourse, but then, couldn't you also regret not spending more time with your friends and enjoying life while you have less responsibilites? Right now, you are working towards probably an ivy league school, so you complete high school, take another 4-8+ years of post graduate education, and then work your way to landing your dream job because you tried so hard. Great! A lifetime of work has gotten you where you wanted to be, but that's just the thing, a lifetime of work.
Anyways, your life, your choice, so don't take anything I say personally, just giving an outsider's view. =D
