In 1937, Manchuria was occupied by Japanese forces. Koo Ping On (Myolie Wu) and a brother-like Tin Hau Yi (Ron Ng) brought their sick mother to Nanjing. They were looking for Koo Maan Chuen (Lau Dan), who owned the biggest rice company in Nanjing. They intended to stay with Koo Maan Chuen, but they are segregated.

Follow the Marco Polo Bridge Incident(also known as july 7 incident of china) Nanjing fell to Japanese forces. On (Myolie) was shocked to find out that Yi (Ron), with whom she grew up, was actually the son of the Japanese military officer, Chung Tin Ai (Sek Sau)! She also discovered that Yi (Ron), whom she considered to be her fiancé, was actually in love with Tsang Yuet Fung (Leila Tong), the fourth wife of her father. Eventually Fung (Leila Tong) fell in love with Yi (Ron).

Afterwards, Poon Sai Cheung (Sunny Chan), who helped the Japanese, “bought” On (Myolie). She was distraught. In the end, she unexpectedly fell in love with this man whom she had first hated with a passion and believed to be a traitor…

I really enjoyed watching WAD. The plot was exciting and not draggy at all Ron and Leila really compensated their lack of chemistry in TOB by returning together onscreen and send the hot sparks flying around A must-watch!

When did this come out? Never heard of it! I like Ron Ng so I probably must see it lol. Myolie Wu is also quite nice too as an actor.

This came out a while ago. It was "warehoused" so it didn't show in HK and was only available for rent. But I think it just started airing in HK now.

So is Sunny's character protagonist or antagonists? From the poster I don't like him already XD

Sunny is the good guy, the protagonist indeed But at the beginning you'd think that he's the bad guy coz he has contact with the Japanese (the enemy). Later you'd learn that he's some sort of spy from the Chinese government.

This series is currently airing in HK and for eps 1-5 they received 30 points! That's soooo good coz TVB has been suffering from low ratings for awhile now... but yea,, WAD deserves it

To EDISON: I want to re-watch this series but all links are dead now... if only there was some good person who would like to re-upload everything....

Ah I see now. Lol, sunny chan does seem like a bad guy in the picture. I like stories that are set back in the past so this will def interest me. Didn't know the links are dead haha but I'm sure someone can upload it sooner or later. I would upload it but I don't have it.

This is one of my favourite.. "decade" of dramas. Just around the time when cars were just invented. The time when suits were coming and "kae pao"s were still around

i thought this series was ok overall because i just think myolie's character is too annoying for awhile but at the end she was ok... i guess

Leila's acting here seems to have gotten worse. She seemed really stiff and emotionless, although that was supposed to be the character. I don't know.. it just seemed like her acting was not as good as when she was in aqua heroes. but i really really liked sunny in this series

good movie. i thought it was better than the second one. I heard edison chen was alright in this one.
