News Update (as of September 7, 2009)

2NE1's Sandara "Dara" Park released her first Korean digital solo single today. By the looks of things, this will be the feature song for Dara's Cass 2x CF with Lee Min Ho.

Dara, a.k.a. Sandara Park, of 2NE1 will be releasing "Kiss," a digital single on September 7, 2009.

"Kiss," composed by YG Entertainment's main producer Teddy, is about a girl's wish for the guy she likes to share a kiss with her. It is also reported to be included in 2NE1's full album to be released sometime in October 2009. The song will also feature CL's rap.


Other 2NE1 members Bom, Minzy and CL will also be releasing their own solo singles within the month of September.

YG Entertainment stated: "2NE1 is a group with members with different talents and individuality. Starting with Sandara Park's solo song "Kiss," the group members will each show their own charms through their own solo songs."

On Dara's part, this will be her first solo song released in Korea. Looking back at her career in the Philippines, she has released around eight songs from 2004-2006 under Star Records.

I can't wait to hear Park Bom's solo mostly though.. She hasn't really been singing anything but the chours for 2NE1 it'll be nice to hear a full song.

I think it's a YG strategy... they have curved out from the usual debut of artists with 2ne1's debut. From just one performance per week, and now a solo stage after debut to keep the hype until their full album release...

and yep, let's hope the solo single is better than those Filipino novelty songs she sang before! lol... but with YG, we can be assured it'll be different!

whoa! i didn't expect YG to promote Dara's solo so soon.... i thought he would try out CL first. good for her though! just like Krazoom and 4jpz, i hope "Kiss" will be better than her filipino song. i cringe when i hear that song! > < lol!

solo already? I hope it doesnt give bad luck to their career cause I remember mosts of the groups were disbanded when one of the member is making his/her solo like in N'Sync and Backstreetboys and oh Spice Girls
