According to a report posted on goodnewspilipinas, Charice will be part of 20th Century Fox's live action-animation movie "Alvin and The Chipmunks 2," to be shown in January 2010.

The report further stated that Charice auditioned for the role, made to sound like a chipmunk and sing a couple of songs. She got the part of a schoolgirl who will represent her school in a singing contest. She will sing "No One" by Alicia Keys and be competing against Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Charice Pempengco divulged in a television report in her recent visit to the Philippines that she will be starring in a Hollywood movie. The teen singer remained clam up with the other details but revealed that it will be produced by 20th Century Fox.

She further stated: "Yong story niya umiikot sa tatlong animated characters." (Translation: The story revolves around the three animated characters.)

Need confirmation for this info, but some reports/rumors say it'll be the live action-animation movie Alvin and The Chipmunks 2 to be shown in January 2010.

Aside from the Hollywood movie in the offing, Charice is currently completing the recording of her first international album.

I've updated the main post with the latest info! Indeed Charice will be part of Alvin and the Chipmunks 2! Yay! and she will not just be a voice over but she will play as a school girl and will sing a song too
