I'm sure everyone remember the slogan, "Red Bull gives me wings" from the popular energy drink, Red Bull. Possibly yet, you might even drink them.



How about if I tell you that Hong Kong official found traces of cocaine in cans of Red Bulls, a few days after Taiwan confiscated 18,000 can of the popular energy drink.

Officials at the Centre for Food Safety said a laboratory analysis found tiny amounts of the illegal drug in samples of "Red Bull Cola," "Red Bull Sugar-free" and "Red Bull Energy Drink", a spokesman said.

Red Bull took swift action denying the findings and said independent tests on the same batch of drinks had found no traces of cocaine.

Red Bull's Asia Pacific marketing director, Daniel Beatty said, "We expect the Hong Kong authorities to recognize their error soon," he said, adding the firm's representatives were already meeting with Taiwanese authorities to point out the error."

Taiwanese authorities ordered the drinks to be removed from shelves pending further investigation.

I once tried drinking one bottle of these energy drinks and it was very hard for me to finish it; it's really heavy! I have friends who have drank them and have felt dizziness, heavy heart-beat, insomnia... when I feel that I lack energy, I'd rather go to sleep and check my eating habits!!!

oh wow...thank god i dont like red bulls!

uh oh! I hope the test will be proven wrong and if it's correct that it's just found in this isolated batch and not all throughout...

I drank a bottle of Red Bull once during an all-nighter for a college project, and I slept so long I only have a few hours left to finish my project! lol... but once I was awake I was so hyper I ended up not sleeping until the wee hours of the following day... that'll be more than 24 hours of wakefulness! lol

red bulls are disgusting anyway.. adding cocaine probably gave it a better flavor XD

I've never actually tried the drink... I hope for everyone's sake, it's an error. How would they mistake finding cocaine traces though?

i hope this is wrong... i use to drink red bull every morning... but if it ends up being true then i'm glad i switched over to starbucks.
