The movie 300

I can see why this movie opened this past weekend for $70 million in gross sales. That's more than the Matrix!

The fight scenes were amazing!! The story is an exaggerated retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae, where 300 Spartan warriors fought against tens of thousands of invading Persians. The movie was very inspiring and made me want to go out and fight for my beliefs! In terms of history, think about this... if these Spartans hadn't delayed the invading Persians, then all of Greece may have been conquered. If Greece was conquered.. then Democracy would have been snuffed out. Isn't that crazy?

i read an article about this movie in time magazine and it's got me interested in it now. didn't know what it was about until i read the article. i'll definitely have to go check it out.

i saw a thing on the battle of thermopylae long time ago on the history channel (i think). definitely one of those very interesting historical battles. i love a good war movie. hope they didn't ruin it with way over the top love story... cough... pearl harbor.

I think the time magazine article said the same guy that did sin city did 300. Looks like the history channel has another show on this... last stand of 300.

I saw a trailer for this movie. It was about ancient greece, so I had to watch it. The killing parts kinda grossed me out, didn't need to see all that blood and killing. But other than that, it was a pretty good movie.
I would definitely pay to watch it again. But I'll just wait until it comes out on DVD.

If it written by the same person who did Sin City. His name is Frank Miller and he began as a comic book writer/illustrator. Hence why his stories have a heroic/comic elements.

i have few friends watch this movie and they don't like it, but when i was watched this movie, it was a cool movie for me...
