Cinematical has just received this exclusive poster of 'The Forbidden Kingdom', otherwise known as the film that pairs up martial arts veterans Jackie Chan and Jet Li for their first ever big-screen collaboration.
The movie is about a teenage boy named Jason, whom is a big fan of classic Kung Fu movies. He gets bullied at school on numerous occasions. He knew he was determined to learn Kung Fu so he would be able to defend himself.
One day, he made an extraordinary discovery of a Chinese staff. The mysterious staff seem to have "magical" powers where it teleported him back to ancient China. Upon arrival, he meets up with Kung Fu master Lu Yan (Jackie Chan).
After that, they met up with two more Kung Fu masters, Golden Sparrow (Liu Yifei) and the Silent Monk (Jet Li). This is where all four of them went on a journey to free the Monkey King with the staff from the five-star mountain, due to the reason Buddha trapped him along with the mountain for punishment. If you ever watched the TVB series of 'Journey to the West', it a bit similar in story content.
This leads to many distraction and numerous battles upon others' along the journey. Will they make it to their final destination?
'The Forbidden Kingdom' will arrive in theaters on April 18, 2008. Stay tuned!
