Talking about Days of the Week

The days of the week are:

Nichi-yoo-bi: Sunday
日曜日: にち ・ よう ・ び

Getsu-yoo-bi: Monday
月曜日: げつ ・ よう ・ び

Ka-yoo-bi: Tuesday
火曜日: か ・ よう ・ び

Sui-yoo-bi: Wednesday
水曜日: すい ・ よう ・ び

Moku-yoo-bi: Thursday
木曜日: もく ・ よう ・ び

Kin-yoo-bi: Friday
金曜日: きん ・ よう ・ び

Do-yoo-bi: Saturday
土曜日: ど ・ よう ・ び

*Note* For Kanji learners, Kanji will be underneath the Japanese words in Roman letters (Romaji) followed by the Kana (Hiragana/Katakana) equivalent to help you study it. Also, the Romaji and Kana are separated by a dash so that you can distinguish the Kanji that goes along with it.

Other related terms:

Kinoo: yesterday
Ototoi: the day before yesterday
Senshuu: last week
Sensenshuu: the week before last
Mainichi: everyday

Here's a practice conversation between Rondillo and Lee Hyori:

Rondillo: Nanyoobi ga suki desu ka? (何曜日が好きですか。)
Hyori: Getsuyoobi desu. (月曜日です。)

Translation:
Rondillo: What day do you like?
Hyori: Monday.

Sorry I don't have videos... maybe I'll look for some later... However, you just gave me an idea! Maybe I could make my own videos...

Thanks for calling me intelligent Smile
