I'm taking four classes here in school and one online [starting yesterday thanks to two weeks of confusion) class (Chinese). There are pros and cons in taking an online class. I also took one during the summer and I was more distracted. But the good thing about online classes is that you can work in your own pace.

i prefer online classes because i get more time to do the work. I get a week to finish the assignment unlike other classes which make u hand it in like next class.

I'm currently in Iraq taking two history classes online. If you really can't go to class like me, then take the online class. For example if you have a full time job, a loaded schedule, or an abusive significant other, then take the online class. The difference is the response from your instructor. In a physical class, you get the luxury of asking questions and demanding an answer on the spot. I notice that with online classes, the learning experience is pretty much up to you reading the book and posting in a forum like this one. Whatever your choice, I wish you the best.

I'm doing both this fall. I'm enrolled in one-and-a-half courses that are online just so I won't have to drive down to my college five days a week. That would be a hassle, especially since lecture hours are ridiculous.
