No girlfriend for Minwoo

The recent news that Minwoo has a new girlfriend has been denied by the K-pop star. His new comments are that the girl is someone who he feels is like a "younger-sister."

He said that he took photos with the girl because she was a fan. He said that the girl is Jee-In's younger sister.

Could it be that Minwoo is trying to hide the fact that he is taken? Or is he telling the truth?

Jet Li Builds House for Carter Work Project; Another House Named Cory Freedom House

Habitat For Humanity's Carter Work Project led by former US President Jimmy Carter and wife Rosalynn, together with Asian celebrities like Jet Li, and over 3000 volunteers have built and repaired 166 homes along the Mekong River which runs in four countries namely Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos

Jet Li was seen building a house last Tuesday (November 16) and has signed a memorandum of understanding outlining a partnership between Habitat for Humanity Asia Pacific and his One Foundation.

Li stated: "I believe government has a responsibility, corporations have a responsibility, and regular citizens have a responsibility." He further stated: "We should all help each other. Everybody can do a little bit. … Everybody has a wonderful heart. They just need to know how to help."

A couple of days after (November 19), Maria Elena "Ballsy" Cruz-Aquino, the daughter of former Philippines President Cory Aquino, together with 30+ Filipino volunteers, was also seen building a house in honor of her late mom. Jimmy Carter himself has named the house "Cory Freedom House."

The two former presidents had known each other back in the late 70s/early 80s when Carter had talked to the then Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos to spare Cory's husband, Ninoy, from firing squad.

Kanchit Suthimetheesakul, the future homeowner of the dubbed Cory Freedom House, has shown excitement in finally owning a house. His wife, Nasee, has stated of his husband: "He's too happy. He's overflowing with happiness. We never dreamed of having our own house." Nasee further said: "I don't want the house to be completed yet, because I want everybody to stay longer., When it is done, this will be everybody’s house, not just ours. We are all friends now."

Recently, Lee Min Woo of Shinhwa was spotted taking pictures with an unidentified girl. The two's intimate photos were leaked online. It is speculated that this new girl could be Minwoo's new girlfriend.

Lee Minwoo had a breakup with his ex-girlfriend Amy earlier this year.

A New Group called "Nadia"

A new project group called "Nadia" has been among the talk of netizens recently after a video of their cover for KARA's "Mister" was posted on the net.

Nadia said, "We want to show our own music styles through the song ‘Mister’ which has been receiving much popularity recently."

Nadia is a project consisting of composer HwangHyun from band Roommate and also vocal Myung InHee from modern rock band THE THE.

On November 18th, Nadia will be releasing a 7-song minialbum, with the title song ‘Twinkling Boy.’

HyunA likes short men

Recently girl group 4minute's HyunA has released a statement saying "I like someone with a pretty smile. It would be good if that someone can take my aegyo and complaints. He should be short. He should not be over 173cm. It would be good if he is around 170cm tall."

The comment comes shortly after a female college student said on air that "short guys are losers." She received heavy criticisms from several people, and KBS had even received lawsuits. The show was entitled "Chitchat of the beautiful ladies." The college student was a girl named "Miss Lee."

Miss Lee had was asked "Do you date short guys?" and she answered, "Of course not. Height is a form of competition now. I think that short guys are losers."

Ninja Assassin to be released on Thanksgiving

Rainbow releases their debut single's MV

The new girl-group, Rainbow, has now released their first music video. The mv is for their debut song, "Gossip Girl."

Rainbow is a seven member girl band under DSP Entertainment. They are one of the many idol groups that have recently emerged.

Kim So Eun and Jang Geun Suk together?

Kim So Eun, known for her role in "Boys Before Flowers", and Jang Geun Suk, who played in the drama "You're Beautiful," are paired together as a couple for a new CF for Maxim Coffee.

The CF has proved to be very popular amongst Koreans. Because the CF was filmed in the Autumn season, people are calling Kim So Eun and Jang Geun Suk, "The Warm Couple."

As for being a real couple in real life? Probably not, but who knows.

Kim Hyun Joong Will Star in Korea's Kimi Wa Petto

After being one of the F4 in Boys Before Flowers, Korea's version of Hana Yori Dango, Kim Hyun Joong is again cast in another adaptation of a television drama based from a popular Japanese manga written by Ogawa Yayoi. The said tv drama is Kimi Wa Petto or You're My Pet aired in 2003.

Interesting to note that Kimi Wa Petto starred Matsumoto Jun, who happens to be Domyoji Tsukasa in the Hana Yori Dango. Kim Hyun Joong, on the other hand, plays Yoon Ji Hoo in Boys Before Flowers.

The Korean title and the female lead are yet to be revealed. filming will start as soon as the casting is finalized and the series will air sometime in 2010.

After gracing the cover of Time Magazine Asia, peoples champ Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao has again wowed fans with another news article in a world renowned publication. This time, the New York Times!

Once again Filipino 6-time boxing champ Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao wows fans all over the world when reports circulated that he'll be gracing the cover of TIME Magazine Asia. The said issue will be available this weekend, a week prior to his most-awaited match with Puerto Rican boxer Miguel Cotto in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 14 (November 15 Manila time).

Winning the bout against Cotto will clinch him his seventh title in seven different weight divisions. He already won titles in the junior welterweight, lightweight, super featherweight, featherweight, super bantamweight and flyweight divisions.

He is the first Filipino sportsman to grace the cover of TIME Magazine Asia, following the footsteps of prominent Filipinos like environmentalist and actress Chin Chin Gutierrez (2003), former Philippine presidents Manuel L. Quezon, Manuel L. Roxas, Ramon Magsaysay, Ferdinand Marcos and Corazon C. Aquino, who already graced the covers four times.

TIME Magazine Asia quoted Pacman: "I absolutely had no idea that when I started my career in boxing, to provide a better life for myself and my family, that I would now be where I am today and on the cover of TIME Magazine."

He is also quoted as saying: "It is a great honor for me to be the face of my people and let everyone know we are a small but mighty country."

TIME Magazine also graced him on their TIME 100 Most Influential List for 2009.

Other international magazines who featured him in their cover are ESPN The Magazine Body Issue and Reader's Digest Asia amongst others.

Prior to the news of him gracing the TIME Magazine cover, Pacquiao has received recognition as a 2009 Gusi Peace Prize Laureate and had his first primetime television appearance on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live. He even showcased his singing voice on the said talk show.

Lee Min Ho and Boys Over Flowers Nominees for ASAP Pop Viewers' Choice Awards 2009

The nominees for the 22 awards in five categories of abs-cbn's ASAP Pop Viewers' Choice Awards 2009 were revealed on ASAP '09 last Sunday, November 1, 2009.

Included in the nominees list are the Korean hit drama Boys Over Flowers for the "Pop Kapamilya TV Show" award and Korean actor Lee Min Ho for his character in Boys Over Flowers, Gu Jun Pyo, for the "Pop Kapamilya TV Character" award.

Will Lee Min Ho and Boys Over Flowers win? Will being nominated and hopefully getting the award enable Lee Min Ho and other BOF cast to be present during the awards ceremony? Watch out for the result by the end of the year!

Other international Asian actors/actresses nominated in ASAP Viewers' Choice Awards 2009 are Charice's Always You for the "Pop Song of the Year" award, Fil-Am performer Billy Crawford and Thai actress and VJ Paula Taylor for the "Pop Celebrity Cameo Role" award. Brown Eyed Girls to release repackaged album

Brown Eyed Girls' newest album, "Sound G: Repackage", will be on store shelves really soon. The album will contain their title song "Sign", a ballad "Drunk in Sleep" and a remix version of "Abracadabra".

Brown Eyed Girls' company said, "The MV to 'Sign' talk about a more shocking story than 'Abracadabra'. The full MV will be released with the 'Sign' album on October 29th.

CNN reports: Living in a cage in Hong Kong

CNN reporter, Eunice Yoon reports that hard times in Hong Kong force some to live in cages, but even those accommodations aren't cheap.

Nineteen people are sharing a 625 sq. foot apartment. They all share the same kitchen, bathroom, and sleep on wooden planks.
The bedding consist of the upper and lower decks. The upper deck, they pay about 100 USD and the lower deck 150 USD because at the lower deck you can stand upright which is why they charge more. In addition, some of the residents have live in the cage apartment for years due to the recession or have lost their job.

Lee Seung Gi's song was plagiarized?

Is it true that singer Lee Seung Gi's new song, "Let's Break Up" was plagiarized?

Composer SeongHwan released a statement that said "Lee Seung Gi’s song ‘Let’s Break Up’ has infringed on the copyrights of the song ‘Injured Ankle’ released in 2007." SeongHwan composed this song for Tim. The composer submitted his complaint with evidence in Seoul.

Seung Gi's song was a major hit in Korea, getting high on the music charts. However, netizens had begun to notice the similarities between the two songs.

Composer SeongHwan said, "Singer cum actor Lee Seung Gi’s album ‘Shadow’ title song ‘Let’s Break Up’ has infringed more than 4 lines of Tim’s ‘Injured Ankle’. I hereby request for investigation into the case."

ABDC's We Are Heroes to be on Oprah

Tablo and Kang Hye Jeong married!

Rapper Tablo of Epik High and actress Kang Hye Jeong (Old Boy), were married today in Seoul SamSungDong The Bailey House. Although the wedding was private, photos were leaked as they walked to the car.

They told reporters, "Thank you, we will live well."

The two have said that their honeymoon will be in Europe.

Korea's the Gorilla Crew performed on ABS-CBN's Wowowee last October 24, 2009 to promote B-Boy and Ballerina The Original Philippine Tour 2009 Dance Performance. They will again perform on ASAP '09 on October 25, 2009.

B-Boy & Ballerina will commence their Philippine Tour in Camp John Hay Convention Center, Baquio City on October 30-31, 2009 followed by performances in different venues and cities in the succeeding weekends, namely: Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City on November 6; Olivarez College Coliseum, Paranaque City on November 13-14; and Clark Expo, Pampanga City on November 21
