Actually it's meant to be more of an overseas Asian music podcast / radio show with the occasional non-English Asian artist. A significant portion of the music that he plays are performed/created by Asian American or Asian Canadian artists such as Notorious MSG, Magnetic North, Far East Movement and Anonymous Twist.

Focuses mainly on urban styles such as hip hop, RnB, etc.

I don't listen to the radio often, but when I do it's usually Taiwan's HitPop Internet Radio :]

Anyone buy Hiroshima's new CD Legacy? I am listening to it now and I am quite impressed. They remade a bunch of their hits to fit 'today', to show an evolution of their music. It's a good cd and I encourage others to get it!!

I just thought this would be a nice share considering there are a lot of 2NE1 and Lee Hyori fans out there and Lee Junki is always a fave♥

Plot:
Lee Hyori encounters Bom at a convenience store shoplifting and rescues her from getting arrested and meets Bom again later at the club where she bumps into a guy and her identity is revealed and what luck but Bom saving her. Lee Hyori than introduces Bom to her circle and asks Bom to be her twin double. So then Bom is now performing some of Hyori's shows while Hyori is out on the road with none other than Lee Junki and his little dance crew who didnt know it was Lee Hyori herself. Of course no one can escape Lee Junki's eyes and he figures it out. Watch it, Anystar commercials are always a good watch for advertising they're phones =)

大Royal Pirates are made up of two guys:
Moonchul Kim - Vocal/Guitar
Sooyoon Kim - Drum/Subvocal

Influenced by such bands as Muse, L'arc En Ciel and Saosin, 大Royal Pirates are able to create a unique mix of music.

They have already been known for their covers of popular Korean songs such as: Mirotic (DBSK), Nobody (Wonder Girls) and Sorry Sorry (Super Junior).

However, 大Royal Pirates have stated they do not want to be known for being a cover band, and so rejected an offer from StarKing (A TV Show in S.Korea), it also did not fit their busy schedule as they are still students.

They have recently made a remake of 2PM's 'Again & Again' and 'I Hate You':

These guys are just starting up at the moment. They already have thousands of fans around the world and I reckon they will make it big pretty soon. They've already been featured a number of times on allkpop and with an increasing awareness of the band by Korean media, their unique music will soon reach out to the world.

Have you ever heard a song from Anson Hu Yan Bin? What do you think of his voice?

I'm an avid fan of Anson's. I like the variety of melodies that he has sung, from the tragic war ballad Jue Bie Shi to the lighthearted Mischievous Boy.
His voice is heavenly, too.

Rapper T.I Faces One Year in Prison

NOTE: I know this isn't any Asian news, but I thought I'd cover it seeing it is a pretty big issue and many favors T.I movies, music, and hunky looks.

Grammy-winning rapper, T.I, whose real name is Chris Harris will be sentenced to jail for a year instead of his 20 years original imprisonment agreement for illegally possessing machine guns and silencers.

His performance on doing community service as part of his plea had reduced his sentencing by a lot.

T.I. toured the United States in recent months speaking to tens of thousands of young people about the dangers of drugs and gangs, as he completed more than 1,000 hours of community services.

Also, his anti-crime advocacy reality show on MTV, T.I.'s Road to Redemption has proven to be a great success.

David Nahmias, U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, said in a statement T.I.'s community service exceeded prosecutors' expectations and that "there is still more to come when he gets out of prison."

Music Videos Involving Marionettes

So, I was watching some Ayumi Hamasaki videos this evening and I noticed a thread through a lot of her videos: puppets/marionettes. Her videos gave me an idea about writing about the Asian pop scene and some of the strict beauty rules some countries impose on their pop stars. I view Ayu's videos as commentary on this issue. However, in order to make my fifty page-page requirement, I need more examples. Does anyone on here know about any other Asian pop videos that utilize puppets/marionettes? Would anyone have links these videos? Any help is appreciated!

Different 'regions' for CD's?

This is probably an embarrassing and chauvinistic question. I live in the USA. I know that there are regions for DVD's and a region 1 disc won't play in a region 2 player. If I buy CD's from - for example - Yesasia.com will it play in my car's CD player? I really enjoy the music of Fly to the Sky, Clazziquai, MC the Max, Baek Ji-young, Jo Sung-mo and many others. Thank you for the help and please excuse my spelling of the artists' names.
