First, you must download HjSplit to your computer.

With HJSplit you can not only split files, but also join the split parts back together again.

How to Join and Split a File Step-by-Step:

You will notice that you'll have the option tabs to 'Join' or 'Split' the file.

If you're to split the files into parts, just perform the following steps:

(1) On the HjSplit main screen, choose the 'Split' option tab. (see below)

(2) It should then bring you to this screen with a red background:

(3) Then, press the 'Input file' tab and locate your file that you want to split. Then, choose the split file size that you want to split your file.

(4) After you found the file that you want to split, press the 'Start' option to begin the splitting process.

Note: A collection of split parts is set by files having all the same file name, except for the extension at the end of the file name (.001, .002, .003, etc.) Combining/joining these split parts is equivalent to restoring the original file.

(5) Finally, you will see the message that the splitting process is completed.


To join a set of files, just perform the steps indicated below:

When the other files which belong to the set of split parts (.002, .003, .004, etc.) are in the same folder, HJSplit will automatically find them during joining.

(5) Press the 'Start' button to begin the joining process.

I am sorry to have started a new thread, but I can't seem to find an answer when sifting through the other threads. I was able to download an episode of Shinobi through Megaupload to my laptop. However when trying to view it, I am unable to through Real Player or Window Media Player. The file is torrent. Can anyone help me? Also, how do I burn the episode(s) to DVD so I can watch it on TV instead of the laptop. I have the Roxio software, but don't know how to do this. If anyone can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Why doesn't AmpedAsia provide torrent?
AmpedAsia is not programmed for torrent use. We much prefer to provide direct download links hosted by filehosting sites.

Where does AmpedAsia hosts their sources?
All movies, music, etc, are hosted on separate 3rd-party servers. We do not host any of these files on our own servers. All our downloads are free and uses filehosting sites like: Megaupload, Rapidshare, Sendspace, and etc.

Megaupload and Rapidshare have download limitations that are such a hassle!
We recommend that you purchase a Megaupload/Rapidshare premium account if you think the download restrictions are a hassle. They are fairly cheap and with the large amount of content available on Amped Asia, it is well worth it. Megaupload also has a "happy hour" where you can download unlimitedly so it is advised that you use happy hour to your advantage. Go to this page for more info on Megaupload happy hour. Also we are allowing users to get premium accounts through Amped Asia prizes! Go to this page for info on how you can redeem your prizes.

As mentioned above, AmpedAsia's does not provide torrent links.

Q. Why is post count disabled in some sub-forums in the download section?
A. This sub-forum is not specifically used as a discussion place but for help and assistance only, thus, post count in this section of the forums is disabled. This means, posts under the Download section or this thread are not counted as posts due to reasons that leechers/lurkers tend to spam or post non-relevant threads or topics.

Q. Are the files we upload safe/clean for download?
A. Of course. The files here are uploaded in either MegaUpload, RapidShare or MediaFire and etc. The file sharing sites have a system that checks if the files are clean. We can assure you that the files that we upload are clean. Much of the files that the AmpedAsia forum staffs from Administrator to moderators have provided are clean. I'm talking about the ones that we ourselves have uploaded, not the links taken from another site.

Q. Is there legal issues when it comes to download?
A. Always. Please download at your own risk, AmpedAsia will NOT be responsible for any legal issues or factors that comes your way.

Q. What happens if my country is blocked from accessing one or more of the filesharing sites AmpedAsia provided?
A. We are aware that NOT all countries has convenient access to Megaupload, Rapidshare, and etc. so we're sorry for the inconveniences. Please note that AmpedAsia is not affiliated in any way blocking you from accessing our downloads, but due to the 3rd party servers blocking your access to their servers. We highly suggest that you contact a representative of the 3rd party servers and get whatever issues you may have resolved the soonest time possible.

Q. What happen if the download links are not available for download anymore?
A. If one or more of the downloads links we provided has a message that says, "The file is unavailable or been suspended". Please alert the staffs, moderators by PM or a message on the thread (recommended) regarding the problem you've faced; so we can try to fix the problem the soonest time possible.

Q. Who provides the uploads/downloads?
A. Anyone can provide the uploads/downloads links as long its safe/clean of ANY viruses. Please note as you will notice in the Download sub-forum, mostly the staffs, moderators, and a few other members from AmpedAsia are providing the downloads.

First when you arrive scroll down and look for this box and the circled portion and click it. Only click the RED BOX if you plan on creating a premium account.

One done with that the BIG GREEN Begin Download Button will popup and you'll be able to download.

How long does Megaupload store my files?

Your files will be stored forever as long as you are a premium member. If you are a registered user without premium status, your files will be stored until at least 90 days after their last download. What is the maximum file size I can upload?

If you'd like your file to be downloadable by everyone, make sure not to exceed the limit of 500 MB 1024MB. Larger files can only be downloaded by premium users.

Why is my upload slow?

Depending on your connectivity to the server network, your upload speed may be limited and slower than what you expect. You may wish to install Mega Manager client software for improved upload speed and extended features such as the ability to resume interrupted uploads.

Downloaders:

I am not downloading/have not downloaded anything, but still get "Download limit exceeded". Why?

It is possible that someone else is already downloading from your IP or has exceeded your newly assigned IP's download quota in a previous session.

There are three ways to work around this issue:
1. You can try a different port. Some ISPs only enforce proxy use only for connections to port 80. MU offers two alternate ports (800 and 1723) that you may try. This will never work if your ISP assigns private (10.*, 172.16-31.*, 192.168.*) IP addresses or uses NAT.
2. You can ask your ISP to assign you a public IP address or switch to a different ISP.
3. You can buy a premium account, which relieves you of all limitations and allows for unlimited parallel and batch downloads.

I have tried to change the port, but now I can't download at all.

Why is my download slow?

Depending on packet roundtrip time and packet loss to the servers, your downloads may be slow. This may also depend on the time of day, so trying again at a different time may solve your problem. Also, using Mega Manager will dramatically improve your downloading speed.

Megaupload Error Messages

We will try to cover some of the messages you will get when downloading from Megaupload. A lot of these messages don’t mean that the files are no longer available. As Megaupload staffs are often backing up their data, as well as upgrading and fixing their servers, please read these messages and see if they fit the description of the messages that you get. If you get a message that we haven't covered in here, please leave a comment below, and we’ll try to find out what it means and how or what we could do to fix it.

Temporary Unavailable Message

This does not mean that the file is dead. MU Staff are doing maintenance on the server, so try to download it later.

Server Is Busy

There are too many connections to this server, therefore it can't handle the bandwidth. Again, this does not mean that the file is dead. Try to download again at another time.

HTTP Or Connection Not Found

This rarely happen, but just in case that you do get this. It means that your Session ID has expired. Just do a simple refresh or close the window and try to access it again.

File Has Been Deleted Due To Inactivity

Now, this is the file that is no longer there. If you see this message, just make a report to us and we'll see if we can help re-upload the files again.

Download Limit Exceed

MU has limited the amount of bandwidth that you can download for certain, once the limit is reached—you’ll have to wait before you can download again.
All download slots (2500) assigned to your country (XXX) are in use.

I believe this new MU has also limited the number of download slot for each countries, especially those who are from outside of United States.

Clicked On The "Click Here To Download", But It Just Reload The Page?

This is because the file isn't quite ready to download.

Download With Premium

The file is only available to Premium member (a member with a paid account) to download. Usually the file size is larger than the maximum file size available for the non-paying member to upload and download.

Megaupload Updates:

(July 27, 2008)

Megaupload recently updated their download & upload policies for non-premium users. You can now download & upload file as large as 1024mbs (1 Gig) instead of 500mbs (I think).

I'm not sure if this is good or bad. But I think it should be good since you are no longer needed to split a 700mb files into multiple parts to upload and no longer need to download multiple parts.

(February 27, 2009)

Megaupload recently renovated their site with a newer and fresher look. As far as I know, they changed their time schedule to received free premium happy hours at 9AM to 11AM UTC, in meaning in America, it will be 4AM-6AM EST. Also, now you can download up to 20 GB of files per day instead of the usual 1 GB.

There are too many connections to this server, therefore it can't handle the bandwidth. Again, this does not mean that the file is dead. Try to download again at another time.

HTTP Or Connection Not Found

This rarely happen, but just in case that you do get this. It means that your Session ID has expired. Just do a simple refresh or close the window and try to access it again.

File Has Been Deleted Due To Inactivity

Now, this is the file that is no longer there. If you see this message, just make a report to us and we'll see if we can help re-upload the files again.

Download Limit Exceed

MU has limited the amount of bandwidth that you can download for certain, once the limit is reached—you’ll have to wait before you can download again.
All download slots (2500) assigned to your country (XXX) are in use.

I believe this new MU has also limited the number of download slot for each countries, especially those who are from outside of United States.

Clicked On The "Click Here To Download", But It Just Reload The Page?

This is because the file isn't quite ready to download.

Download With Premium

The file is only available to Premium member (a member with a paid account) to download. Usually the file size is larger than the maximum file size available for the non-paying member to upload and download.

Megaupload recently updated their download & upload policies for non-premium users. You can now download & upload file as large as 1024mbs (1 Gig) instead of 500mbs (I think).

I'm not sure if this is good or bad. But I think it should be good since you are no longer needed to split a 700mb files into multiple parts to upload and no longer need to download multiple parts.

Megaupload recently renovated their site with a newer and fresher look. As far as I know, they changed their time schedule to received free premium happy hours at 9AM to 11AM UTC, in meaning in America, it will be 4AM-6AM EST. Also, now you can download up to 20 GB of files per day instead of the usual 1 GB.
