I'm an avid Kingdom Hearts player BUT... I never got around to buying Chain of Memories because in the beginning, it only came out for the DS. Today; however, I purchased Re: Chain of Memories for the Playstation 2 and man. This card based gaming system is so weird! xD

Anyone else have the game? Opinions!!

It's been around for a while, so I don't know how many people know about Phantom of the Server's best MUGEN creation ever, but here it is, since I recently got back into watching his shenanigans.

Can't Beat... oh screw it (Survival Edition): Every God, Shin, Ultimate, and Shiny MUGEN character thrown at Rare Akuma, including a certain 2nd generation legendary Pokemon.

Rare "Katamari" Akuma: I like this one especially because you see most of his possible pre-fight introductions, along with his new Katamari Ball super.

New Guitar Hero game misspells "Lynyrd Skynyrd"

Lynyrd Skynyrd might not be the world's most intellectual rock band, but at least they can spell their own name. Which is more than we can say for whoever designed the cover for the upcoming Guitar Hero: Metallica game.

Rolling Stone caught the spelling gaffe while checking out the game's cover art, which proudly displays the names of all the hard-rocking artists that grace the game's soundtrack. While bands like Judas Priest and Samhain enjoyed correct spelling, just off to the left of the "Hero" is the hitherto unknown band "Lynyrd Skynrd," whom we presume is some sort of Lynyrd Skynyrd cover band, minus a Y.

GTA IV: Lost and Damned

i was wondering if anyone else downloaded the add-on content of GTA IV: Lost and Damned? i just did after reading the rave reviews for it. it was pretty interesting seeing how they made the cut scenes more grainy like cod IV, i believe; i read it on ign or g4tv that the creators made the cut scenes grainy to show some sort of effect like on cod(call of duty) or gow(gears of war). i personally like these add-ons because it keeps the game interesting since i just beat the game playing as niko. i enjoy being able to just control a character and have it roam around the city.

i have yet to try the online multiplayer for this. i'm wondering if it is any different than playing the online multiplayer with the normal gta IV.

also, wouldn't it be cool if the rockstar creators would put together a triad based gta game?

Street Fighter IV

Anyone else enjoying it? I love the middle ground of the fighting system. It's casual in approach like Brawl but can be practiced into a more elaborate system when you play it often.

The focus system really pulled me out in my fair share of rapid attack pressuring. Like when your opponent starts to find a rhythm to use against you and you suddenly stop him in his tracks with a focus strike.

Gaming can easily be divided into eras. Pretty much the 80s, 90s, and now, but some people further divide by the predominant bits and bats such as the 8-bit era, 32, 64, up until now.

Personally, my favorite era was the 32-bit era, roughly around the mid to late 90s. SNES typically characterizes this time, with Super Mario World and Mystical Ninja Goemon.

6 Politically Incorrect Video Games

What I find hilarious (as well as politcally incorrect) is the old Japanese view of Africans. Jet black skin and hilariously red lips. My god, how far we've come.

But there are other examples not on the list. Is it just me, or is every token black video game character who's not offensive, rapping at some point in their game?

Native Americans always have a sort of holistic and spiritual view on the world.

And are Swedes always rowdy, gung-ho weapon maniacs? Actually, that sounds pretty eff'in awesome.

in my opinion, I blame Sonic Adventure. It all went downhill starting there.

Actually, to start over, I was a big fan of Sonic back in the 90s. My first system was a Sega Genesis and unfortunately, I didn't get Sonic with it, so I clamoured my way to one day. Unfortunately, along the way, the old formula of running really fast in a stylish manner didn't appeal to Team Sonic, and we got the current iterations of Sonic.

Agree? Disagree? Maybe?

i grew up with a lot of video games and i also like to play racing games, as the years pass by the evolution of racing games continues

1. the graphics are so realistic you can see your car get totaled and see all the parts fly everywhere.

2. the sense of speed...i love the process of going faster and faster very second...your gonna want to use your brakes more often...XD

3.Now ive noticed that you can have carreers and sponsors which is really neat

4. customizing you car...when this option started i wondered a bit then i loved the whole idea....make your car the fastest metal horse in town

5. the new idea of new A.I.(artificial intelligence) is really cool it puts my skills to the test.

6. and most importantly have FUN......and make some cash winnings...lol

We told you that we'd be releasing an unbricker for the M33 bricks. But then we got to thinking, maybe that just wouldn't be exciting enough.

Would you like a super special surprise bonus? How about an unbricker for ALL PSPs? Yep, you read that right. We call it "Pandora's Battery".

There's a larger story behind this unbricker, though, and it deserves to be told. It's the culmination of years of behind-the-scenes research and development by some of the top names in PSP hacking, under the name of the Prometheus project. This group of people, from various development teams, was dedicated to developing and releasing PSP hacks and exploits, with the aim of improving the status of PSP homebrew, and making sure that it was kept alive.

For some time this project was highly successful - many releases from Noobz, C+D and others were direct results of this work. The zenith of this success was the development of this unbricker - which required some amazing technical leaps, including:

1. Reverse engineering of the service (unbrick) mode
2. Development of a technique to change an ordinary battery into a service mode trigger battery (and back)
3. Development of custom IPL code along with a technique to sign that code as authentic.

Even more impressive is that all of the above was achieved without any access to the official hardware or software. With careful nurturing, this unbricker and custom IPL was to become the foundation of a whole new homebrew environment.

Unfortunately something happened to shatter the idyll. Somehow, the unbricker was leaked into the wider world before it was ready to be released. Whether this was deliberate, by one of the team members, or accidental via a security breach is still unclear. The fact is that this unbricker appeared on the black market, being sold for huge prices. As far as we know, it is probably very close to the same software that appears in at least some of the 'magic unbricker'/'jigkick' videos.

So, although the time was not right to release this (it would have been wise to wait at least until the PSP Slim release), our hand has been forced. In order to prevent small fortunes being made by leeches, we are giving this unbricker away for free. So - let it be known - if you have paid for an unbricker, then you have been ripped off. I suggest that you take up your grievances with the seller - it should never have been sold. And if you're unhappy about this being released before PSP Slim - then blame whoever it was that leaked or stole it.

It's unclear whether or not this is the end for the Prometheus project - hopefully not, but that is undecided so far. In case it is the end, it is worth a quick roll of honour. In alphabetical order:

Adrahil, Booster, Cswindle, Dark_AleX, Ditlew, Fanjita, Joek2100, Jim, Mathieulh, Nem, Psp250, Skylark, TyRaNiD.

And here are their respective C+D (Create and Destroy) nicknames.

Anyway - make sure to read the readme.txt in this release for how to use it, but in brief it works like this:

1. You run a program on a homebrew-enabled PSP that will convert a standard PSP battery into a jigkick battery. Note that you can't then use that battery normally - so you should use a spare one.
2. You run a program to generate the unbricker memory stick image, built from the v1.5 update EBOOT (note that this, and the custom IPL, means the release is completely free of Sony copyright materials).
3. You run some programs on a PC to install the image to your memory stick.

Now, you have a battery/memory stick pair that works just like the famous jigkick combination (but better) - just insert them into any PSP (even a brick) and the PSP will be reinstalled with the v1.5 firmware. As far as we know, this will continue to work for all future firmwares.

Warhammer Online or Wrath of the Litch King?

For online PC gamers this is the new age of online gaming. World of Warcraft has been an ongoing five year franchise of populairty and leveling for people around the globe and now with their new expansion Wrath of the Litch King being released they expect a graphics upgrade and new additions.

However, Warhammer online is supposed to be released the same week if not a week after Blizzard's new expansion. Warhammer hopes to improve on the mindless crafting, the childish graphics, and improve the pvp franchise for all fans. This game is modeled after the popular table top game and is now coming the pc's everywhere this November.

So I ask you PC fans everywhere Which will you play, why. and who do you think is going to win out in the end? The the PC gaming trying to hold on now that home consoles have taken over the market...it is a popular question.

Me personally, I am going to be giving up my WOW account and pursuing the awesome of Warhammer.

Chaos Wars

Alright so on Tuesday this game was launched into the US on a limited supply. About each store was given two copies to sell. This real time strategy title brought the companies of Azure, Atlus, RED, and Idea Factory together for an exciting experience. These companies are known for games such as Shadow Hearts, Growlanser, Spectral Souls, and Gungrave. The game uses familar characters from the game in a unique rpg experience.

The game starts with your three unique main characters Hyoma Kusaka, Hayatemaru Mudouin, and Shizuku Mizuki. The three attend Tsukioka high school and decide to investigate the strange light coming from the ruins behind their school. Before they know it they are transported to an alternate dimension where they encounter familar characters and an engaging storyline. They must discover what it means to be a 'knight' and get back home to their world in one piece.

score: 8/10

The Good

-One good thing about this game is the language option. You are able to choose between japanese and english.
-The sprite art style is appealing and well done.
-the battle system is fun and engaging. For fans op Disgea it is easy to pick up on though, keep in mind you must level up even your basic attack in this game.
-The familar characters are just the same as one remembers visual wise and can bring back memories for fans of the orinigal games.

The Ugly

-The English dub of this game is TERRIBLE! There is no emotion and feels as if they put no effort into bringing it to america. Luckily there is a language option.
-For those who do not like the rpg addition to there rts's I warn that there is alot of reading and dialogue in this. This fuels the story after all but can be tedious at times.
-The battling areas could have been a little bigger. The small battle areas were rather annoying and only improve slightly.
-Yuri was renamed Uru! Bad translation there lol

I definitely recommend this game if you can find it. It is a wonderful and fun title for all rpg fans.

Rise Of GoonZu

This Game is originated by Koreans hosted by ijji (an American site, for American players ^^). It is a free game and the servers been opened since the beginning of October 2007. So its still growing and fairly new. As my running for GoonZu(someone that controls a whole server like a president) I am trying to see if I could recruit as many players for the game because I personally like it and want MORE PLAYERS I made a thread about this before but its dying and new TOPIC! ^^

Every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:00a.m and 6:00p.m(pst) --- towns are invaded by the "Dark Army" and the players see who can kill the most. ^^ my Guild ROX!!
