My sister used to say that one should taste before stating his likes/dislikes.

I've tried Witch Yoo Hee, hung on till the very end and ... I dislike it.
Although the beginning was pretty funny and interesting, the many on and offs, the weird decisions and the sudden ending ruined it all.
So, for those who didn't watch it, here is the synopsis:

Ma Yoo Hee is the impersonation of rude. She just can't be nice to anyone. So when this unlucky Chae Moo-Ryon became her housekeeper and relationship guru, she made his life pretty hard. Progressively, he changed her, teaching her how to be nice and polite. But as he was trying to bring her and a common friend together, he started falling for her. To make matters worse, her (oh so powerful!!) father and (Oh So Deceitful!!!) first love got themselves in the way.
With the resolve to break apart Yoo Hee and Moo Ryong, the father goes to all extents, sending thugs to wreck havok into Chae family's restaurant, forcing Yoo Hee's company to go out of business and so on. They finally trick her into believing that she is responsible for ruining the career of her "first love" (from that point on, I should use quotation marks around this group of words). Luckily, she is able to figure out the truth and run to Chae Moo Ryong.

So, what is the problem?
> Unnecessary characters: Those who have watched the drama will notice that I never even talked about Moo Ryong's girlfriend. And I gave no real details about the "common friend". Why? Because they are not essential to the picture!!! That's a pity since the girlfriend's acting was much more convincing.
> The on and offs in the story; you never can figure out whether or not Moo Ryong is staying at Yoo Hee's. When you expect him to show up, he spends the night God knows where. Then when he is supposed to go home, he's at the girl's apartment.
> The father: I remember reading somewhere that westerners will never understand the relationship between parents and children in Korea. I admit that there are things you are taught as a child that remain inside you forever. But this father is TOO MUCH!!!! He doesn't give a... I mean, he really does not love his child!!!! How can you destroy everything your own flesh and blood has built just to show that you're right? How can you lie to her and force her to accept marriage with a guy she clearly does not want!!!!???!?!? Something is very wrong with him. And thinking that he can go around, slapping anyone and buying people... And then, suddenly, in the end, he realizes that he has "neglected" Yoo Hee... Neglected... Mistreated would be the correct wording. It was definitely too sudden; I don't trust this. We haven't seen him thinking about his past behavior. It would have been far better if Yoo Hee left with Moo Ryong then came back a few years later to tell him she forgive him. He would have had time to understand the questions asked by Chae father.
> Too many unanswered questions: is Parang really the son of the couple who killed Yoo Hee's mother? Why did the father adopt him? Since Moo Ryong's ex does not admit defeat, how long is she going to try to win him back? How will she proceed? What about Moo Ryong's career?
> The final scene: it really bugs me how they make the kiss look live all that. what I mean is the following; in real life, this is only the beginning. It does not solve issues but gives the courage to face the problems while not letting go of your significant other's hand. I think it would be better if they had made things more realistic, for example, showing how they are going to make things better, how this couple is going to go through the rebuilding of Ma's company...

Still there are one positive point:
> Cooking: i'm always so happy to take a peek at Korean cuisine. unfortunately, there are no Korean restaurants in my area. i find Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese cuisine, though. In "Only You", it was also one point that kept me interested.
> The music: even if I don't undestand more than "dougouya_Boh_kansamnida_xxx imnida_mianhada" (*) in Korean, the music was really touching. The singer's voice and the melody really allowed me to feel the pain of the characters.

In the end, I wouldn't download this to my computer. If I had, i would have been mad at myself for wasting my bandwidth!!!!

Overall rating: 65%

Se-jin, a young woman who lives in an old apartment in a Seoul suburb, amuses herself by observing the windows of the apartments on the other side. One day, she notices that the lights of some of these apartments are turned off at the very same time.
My Review:

The movement of this movie is quiet slow, but it's not draggy.
When I first watch this movie, it's made me feel like something is not right, something is not finish and then it's really over already. It gives me strong sense of symphathy to both main role. This is not the best horror movie, for me it's a typical one and most of korean horror movie show familiarity to each others. But what made it worthy are the story line, it's really shows how people will really change, how cruel the real world are, even sometimes human are not human anymore. There are not much blood scene but the cruelty came from how bad people can treated others, it more in emotionanaly abuse.

Se Jin in this movie is a single woman living all alone, she have career of her own and shown strong personalities, she is kind and full of curiousity. In this movie, seem like she just work at night, every day when it almost 10 pm, she will out for work. Until one day, when she's ready for work and go out, she's notice opposite apartment turn their light off at the same time, but she just ignored it. The next morning, there somebody died by suicide from that apartment. Then, she encounter by a women in red that commit suicide in front of her, that really traumatise her because she let go of that women hand just to be hit by train. She realised the pattern of turning light off and suicide after the train incident, every night when all the tenant of that apartment turn off light at the same time, somebody will die of suicide. She try her best to help, but it just not working. It's like there are no ending to the tragedies. See Jin then befriend with Yoo yeon, a girl that stuck in wheelchair without realised she is the reason for all the suicide pattern and most important Yoo yeon is not even alive.

I will rate this 6/10

for the story line
The classic (2003)
Windstruck (2004)
My girlfriend is a cyborg (2008)

Among this four I would say...... the best is my sassy girl it's not because its the first film that i saw but it's a unique story really........

the way the screenplay was written was great and you can really see the similarity or should I say the theme of these four movies...... it has a universal theme...... bridging the gap of the past, present and the future.....

over-all the writer was great...... i like the way he created the stories, very unique indeed.... watched and share your thoughts on these..... [attachment=1236][attachment=1237][attachment=1238][attachment=1239]

The music and songs in Spring Waltz were fantastic. I love them all especially Flower and Clementine with its superb arrangement. They definitely compensated for a weak performance from most of the cast.

David Henney would have been perfect as the other man in Park Eun-young's love life except for his constant dialogue switch from English to Korean and back, which didn't make sense at all. How hard is it to memorize a few Korean lines?

Han Hye Joo was a big disappointment as Park Eun-Young, the heroine in the drama. Her acting was bland. Even her emotional love scenes with Yoon Jae-Ha appeared so dry, I felt Seo Do Young deserved a better partner. Should I blame the director for not pushing her hard enough?

Lee So Yeon as the bitchy Song Yi-Na looked too professorial with her glasses and in all aspects, was not a convincing 'other woman' for Seo Do Young.

Among the main characters, only Seo Do Young, as the brilliant pianist with a secret past, made an impact in the drama. He was very impressive in his portrayal as the cold and lonely Yoon Jae-ha. I really felt for him. To think that this was his first major acting role... 3 cheers!

Yet, in spite of most of the cast's shortcomings, I would watch it again, if only to see Seo Do Young, hear his drop-dead voice and listen to the drama's music and songs.

To sum it up, Spring Waltz is the drama that could have been the director's memorable end to a series.

I absolutely LOVE this series!
Here's a short synopsis:

“Sassy Girl, Chun-hyang” is a modern day interpretation of the “Legend of Choon-hyang“ - an old korean love story.
It begins when Lee Mong-ryong - the troublesome son of the Namwon Police station Chief, is transferred from Seoul to a high school in Namwon. The ever so popular Chun-hyang, with her smart and sassy character does her best to help Mong-ryong (who turns out to be her first love), to enter a prestigious university.
However, fate intervenes when Mong-ryong’s first love, Chae-rin appears and his love toward Chun-hyang wavers.
At the same time, Byeon Hak-do, CEO of a famous entertainment company, appears in Chun-hyangs life. He exudes confidence that he can make any woman fall for him. But as Chun-hyang shows no interest in him, his self-esteem is damaged profoundly. Byeon Hak-do is determined to make her love him.

You can't tell by the synopsis that this drama series is REALLY FUNNY! But it is, and everyone should know how good this series really is! It's just so funny from beginning to end. WATCH IT!

Aside form the many movies ive seen in korean films i may say that i really like this movie so much one of my favorite i should say. in here, you'll witness that what ever it takes love conquers all, that even her dreams are within her reach and still willing to sacrifice it in the name of love. aside from what ive seen my most awaited moment in this movie is in contest proper. the lead actress ( Moon Geun-young) did a good job she dances explendid with so much grace. for me she still a little girl but then as i have said she acts a mature one in this movie and she made it good enough.this is not just movie that shares nothing but also gives you some point that may help you in life for the better. you'll love this movie i surely bet its worth watching.

I've never imagine i may encounter this kind of movie after sassy girl. this romantic comedy film is just right and very entertaining, some of the scene is Gross, i really never expect it (maybe because we have this different culture).but then its okay i may say its an added points on why this movie is looks really good, the twist of the story is also different, korean films are good in flash back and you'll encounter it, those flashback are really important because those will explain to well what's happened. this romantic movie is quite unique you'll never know what's next its a little bit comlpicated and its not only that you laughed at all times but it will touches your heart and surely you'll learn some good lessons in here.
[attachment=1009]

The Heo Jun series aired on MBC in 2000. It recounts the life of a court physician during the reign of King Seonjo.

The story begins with Heo Jun (Jeon Gwang-Ryeol) as the son of a magistrate and his concubine. Hence, his social status is considered to be low and he turns to smuggling in order to make a living. He is caught and faces punishment but his mother intervenes and his father gets him out of jail and tells him to move to a remote area. While he’s preparing to leave he meets Dahee (Hwang Su-Jeong), the daughter of a governmental official who is being framed by other officials. Her father dies and Jun comes to her aid and conducts a funeral. She is of the Noble class so their match is not one made in heaven, but it’s love at first site. She’s taken back to her family home and Jun relocates with his mother to Gyeongsang Province.

He meets Dr Yoo (Im Hyeon Sik), an accomplished physican who runs a hospital and was unofficially known as the best doctor in Korea. A very demanding person, he allows Jun to start working at the bottom of the ladder, where immediately there is conflict with the other workers at the hospital. Dr Yoo’s son, Doji (Kim Byeong Se), is learning the medical trade from his father and has aspirations of becoming a Royal Physician. As Heo Jun increases his medical knowledge they become in conflict with each other, which is highlighted throughout the series.

While working at the hospital Heo Jun meets Yejin (Jang Seo Hee), Dr Yoo’s adopted daughter. Yejin recognizes Jun’s potential and starts teaching him about medicine. She is very attracted to him for his humility and caring. Complicating matters is the fact that Doji is in love with Yejin which creates additional conflict with Jun and Doji’s mother (Park Jeong Su)

Meanwhile, Dahee gives up her nobility status and comes in search of Jun. She finds him in Gyeongsang and they marry.

As Doji strives for his goal to enter the court, Dr Yoo begins to recognize his ambitions and turns to Jun who displays more of a caring attitude toward the common people.

Doji takes the governmental exam but is not selected because his father had proven himself to be a superior doctor than the Royal Physician. This creates animosity between Doji and Dr Yoo. He tries the exam again and gets into the court.

Jun continues to progress and eventually goes to take the national exam but gets waylaid in treating poor patients on the way to the capital. This impresses Dr Yoo as to his character and as Dr Yoo discovers he has incurable cancer instructs Jun to dissect his body when he dies. Jun makes the first detailed drawings if the internal human body. The following exam cycle, Jun scores the highest and enters the court but prefers to work at the public hospital.

The dynamic interpersonal relationships between the doctors, Jun’s family and Doji’s mother and the struggles of Jun’s mother and Dahee kept me riveted to see what would happen next. Jun’s past also caught up to him when a police officer recognized him from his smuggling days which generated more problems for Jun.

Eventually, Joeson is invaded by the Japanese and Jun rescues the medical library and goes on to write a definitive medical book for the common people, which earned him the title as “Father of Korean Medicine”.

Eventually, Jun contracts the plague while treating an outbreak and dies.

The whole series explores a wide range of topics such as class struggles, political intrigue, lust for power and humanitarianism. The sub plots are intertwined in a way the viewer never gets bored. The music is haunting and the supporting cast is excellent, although there are a couple of the supporting cast members that can be very annoying.
I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys Korean historical dramas and specifically those who enjoyed Dae Jang Geum (Jewel in the Palace)

In order to make sure that his daughter is provided for he controls Seung Hyo's body for three hours a day for 49 days.
credit:dramawiki

My P.O.I:

While watching this drama,i get hooked with it. i enjoy watching it so much because the plot of the story is unique (as it involved a ghost or to be precise a spirit) and the story is refreshing

as the story is concern, this story not only focused on Seung Hyo, but mainly about Il Gun's (or,can i say they have a proportionate part?i think they have). dissatisfied with the fact that he already died and he cannot take care of his daughter anymore,he used Seung Hyo to do all the works. buying things that he never bought for his daughter before, treat her with all kind of foods etc. but, when the issue on how he died arose (the police told Young In that his father died because of an accident despite the fact that something happened) Seung Hyo,being bothered by Il Gun,started an investigation on why and how Il Gun died.from this point, not only Il Gun but Seung Hyo's past also will be revealed.

from the story,we can see that Seung Hyo will gradually change from a cold-hearted man to a more considerate person.at first i really didnt get him on why he act like that.but as the story unfold,we'll know the reason.one funny thing about him is that he was a hygiene maniac:duh:always having wet tissue with him.he will not touch anything if he felt that thing is dirty (he dont even shake hand with people)
however, after he met Il Gun and Young In,he started to change.i really like to see him whenever he's being possessed by Il Gun.his action, attitude is totally diffferent with the real Seung Hyo.this caused chaos to his secretary and his driver (but in a funny way) as things change,Seung Hyo eventually fall in love with Young In and vice-versa. their love story is so cute and adorable (this is only my opinion) even though Seung Hyo is way too old for Young In,but when it comes to love, Young In has to lead the way.i really like how the writers makes them fell in love. with the huge age differences (11 years if i'm not mistaken) between them, not only Il Gun,who totally opposed the relationship but Seung Hyo himself also worried over this matter.

dont wanna be a spoiler anymore .hope you guys enjoy watching this drama as much as I do lastly, Who Are You?

from the story,we can see that Seung Hyo will gradually change from a cold-hearted man to a more considerate person.at first i really didnt get him on why he act like that.but as the story unfold,we'll know the reason.one funny thing about him is that he was a hygiene maniac:duh:always having wet tissue with him.he will not touch anything if he felt that thing is dirty (he dont even shake hand with people)
however, after he met Il Gun and Young In,he started to change.i really like to see him whenever he's being possessed by Il Gun.his action, attitude is totally diffferent with the real Seung Hyo.this caused chaos to his secretary and his driver (but in a funny way) as things change,Seung Hyo eventually fall in love with Young In and vice-versa. their love story is so cute and adorable (this is only my opinion) even though Seung Hyo is way too old for Young In,but when it comes to love, Young In has to lead the way.i really like how the writers makes them fell in love. with the huge age differences (11 years if i'm not mistaken) between them, not only Il Gun,who totally opposed the relationship but Seung Hyo himself also worried over this matter.

dont wanna be a spoiler anymore .hope you guys enjoy watching this drama as much as I do lastly, Who Are You?

This is it…the Korean drama that permanently hooked me on the genre! I had seen a few episodes of “The Immortal Yi Soon Shin,” and was a little interested. After all, what guy doesn’t like historical dramas with lots of fighting, sword play, intrigue, and cool wire maneuvers! However, I started watching that series around episode 20 and just couldn’t follow the story line 100%

Luckily, my wife and I were just channel surfing one night when we came upon the series opener to Yeon Gaesomun (YGSM). Immediately I was intrigued about the character and tuned in week after week to see what would happen next! Most importantly, this drama peaked my interest enough so that I did some searches to find out more about the real YGSM.

For those of you unfamiliar, YGSM was set back around the mid 600BCs during the Geguryeo dynasty. Real historical documents don’t really treat YGSM, stating he was a ruthless dictator who overthrew the King and set up a puppet regime with YGSM the real power behind the throne. During his “reign,” he repeled the Tang (old China) dynasty’s invading hordes several times before his death. After he died, his three sons feuded over power and their inability to choose a successor led to the decline and decimation of old Geguryeo.

That doesn’t make for good drama though! So SBS took a lot of “creative interpretation” of history and created a 100-episode of YGSM, spanning his entire life.

The Synopsis:

The series starts with YGSM being sold as a young child to a slaver who eventually treats him as an almost son. Through the course of his young life, YGSM wanders with his master’s caravan from Korean to Tang China. YGSM rapidly becomes an advisor to a shady character who plots to overthrow the Tang King, but it turns out bad and just as the shady usurper dies, a band of mysterious black-clothed ninja looking dudes tell YGSM it is time to return to Korea and take his rightful place as one of the royal family.

During his struggle to restore his place as head of one of the aristocratic houses that make up the political structure of the time, he befriends a girl who is running away from her “mean uncle.” Of course, the girl turns out to be a princess in disguise and her mean uncle turns out to be the king. After winning a contest of strength and skill, YGSM wins the princess’ hand in marriage and becomes the King’s favorite advisor. However, the Korean King’s political strategy with China is one of capitulation vs keeping Korea a strong independent country. This causes great conflict with YGSM and his friends so…well, I don’t want to give away too much of the plot!

My opinion:

Let me tell you, what a wild ride! Especially the last 30 or so episodes where YGSM overthrows the King and fights with the Chinese. The Chinese King was stereotypically evil, but you just couldn’t help but like the character with his evil laugh and funny responses to the Chinese generals when things weren’t going well in battle.

There are plenty of great characters, including the King (mentioned above), YGSM’s sidekick and father (who makes several appearances throughout the series) and several Generals on both sides.

There’s plenty of fightin’wire maneuvers (including a cool boomerang knife scene you can see on YouTube), large battle scenes, cloak and dagger diplomacy, even a few romantic storylines between several of the characters. Of course, some of the historical facts have been changed “just a bit.” But hey, isn’t that the way with all these good dramas?

Watch YGSM and you won’t be disappointed!

It stars popular actress Yoon Eun Hye from Goong, Gong Yoo from One Fine Day and Lee Sun Gyun from White Tower and Chae Jung Ahn. Choi Han Kyul, played by Gong Yoo, is the cocky son of a rich family who runs a coffee franchise. He doesn't believe in love and certainly doesn't want to get married despite his family's requests. On the other hand, Go Eun Chan, played by Yoon Eun Hye, is a 24-year old tomboyish female who gets mistaken as a guy quite often. She takes up every job possible - waitress, delivery man, etc - and has the responsibility of taking care of her mother and younger sister. Eun Chan accidentally meets Han Kyul twice, once on a delivery and once during a robbery. During the robbery, Eun Chan's delivery motorcycle ends up being destroyed. Han Kyul, not knowing that Eun Chan is actually a girl, decides to hire Eun Chan as a false "lover" in exchange for money so that he can escape the blind dates arranged by his grandmother. Meanwhile, Han Kyul's cousin, Choi Han Seong, is an established music producer and his ex-girlfriend Han Yoo Joo, who Han Kyul secretly loved for nine years, is a famous artist who studied in New York. The two were lovers for about 8 years but their relationship ended when Yoo Joo broke up with Han Seong. Two years after they separated their paths cross again when Yoo Joo returned to Seoul.

After getting an ultimatum from his grandmother, Han Kyul takes over their newly bought coffee shop, which was later named Coffee Prince, to prove his ability, both to his grandmother and Yoo Joo. In order to attract female customers, he only hires good looking male employees. In a struggle with money, Eun Chan, whom Han Kyul has already mistaken as a boy, hides her gender identity to get a job at Coffee Prince. Soon the feelings start to spark between Eun Chan and Han Kyul. Despite not knowing Eun Chan was a girl, Han Kyul starts to question his sexuality and decided to see a psychiatrist.

OKAY, THIS IS WHERE I SPEAK.

Totally GOOD!

I'd give ten thumbs up for it, if I DO have ten thumbs. The reason? Simple.

You have Gong Yoo as the poised Choi Sajangnim (boss/manager). He looks good in it, the role AND the clothes. His facial expressions are totally cute, especially during the times he was stuck in his ‘homosexuality’ dilemma. Small feat, considering us viewers know fully well that Go Eun Channie is INDEED a girl, but yeah, the sajangnim doesn’t. Anyway, I totally love his wardrobe in this one, slick and stylish. Although nearing the end, he wears this totally un-cool shirt red/pink with white polka dots. Arghhh!!! But overall he fits in the role perfectly. He has the perfect facial expressions; when he grins, he grins like how a normal guy grins. When he gets angry at Eun Channie, he gets angry properly. And I noticed that he gets angry at the poor girl/guy (LOL) VERY VERY much. I mean, there’s bound to be many incidents that made him angry to her all the way. And I don’t think it’s repetitive; as most dramas were bound to be, since the way he gets angry is very different for every time, but in this drama, maybe I ogle too much at Gong Yoo.

But NO!

Choi Sajangnim is the man to be loved, he cries easily in this drama; check out the part nearing the end – sorry I can’t remember which episode, it’s been a week since I watched it off Mysoju – where he cries in his car when Eun Channie went to Italy to further her studies as a barista, as per agreement with Choi Halmoni. He refused to go send her off at the airport; instead she lugs her BIG BIG BIG luggage alone to her awaiting plane, while he cried like a baby. Ahh… I felt the urge to put my hands around him and soothe his feelings then, and according to the Specials Episode, he cried in reality; it was like something erupted in him and he HAD to cry. But I better stop talking about Choi Sajangnim, feel free to tell me I need to add more details about this guy. HOT guy. LOL. I can go on and on and on about him in this drama.

Reason number 2; you have Go Eun Channie. She’s shabby, fitting the role of the Taekwondo master by day and delivery girl by free time. She delivers milk, food, anything; she does it willingly and without complaining, she’s the ‘man of the house’ as her father died leaving the family without a stable income. She left her studies, because as she puts it, “I’m stupid anyway.” But personally I don’t think she is, since she eventually went to train as a barista anyway. So the moral of story is: don’t think you’re stupid, you’re not. You just need to find something you like, and GO FOR IT!!

Anyway, Eun Channie is someone you just HAVE to love; she has the guts to stand up for herself and her family. She eats a LOT, and she’s damn thrifty. Imagine a girl picking up a piece of meat that fell off the table and insisting that it can still be consumed, after being grilled. Ahh… wait, let me say she is damn thrifty when it comes to food, since like I say, she eats really well. In the beginning, she had the famous eating bet with Hwang Min Yeop, who’s stupid and naïve, but also nice and loyal - revealed as the drama progressed – he becomes one of the Princes at the coffee shop. The guy is dead gone on Eun Channie’s little sister, player Eun Sae. In the episode, he didn’t know that Eun Chan is a GIRL; as the little brat of a sister Eun Sae calls her unni ‘Oppa’, making the poor guy think that Eun Chan is a guy, and to settle the disagreement both have to eat 5 bowls of mee (I think?) and the winner gets Eun Sae. Of course you get to see cunning side of the sister; Eun Sae whips out ridiculous and gross food to mention while the guy is fighting for his true love. In the end of the bet, the guy puked. So Eun Sae wins again. Aiyohh..

I admire Eun Chan, so I’ll tell more of her. She’s very level-headed, and she’s not afraid to raise her voice at the boss, especially when she’s right. She is also not shy of displaying her affections, and she’s friendly. That is how she got to know Han Sung Ahjusshi personally. In the beginning, she developed a crush on the hot and cute Ahjusshi - does the pair go well? – since he’s a brother/father figure to her. He’s smart, understanding and caring. To think of it, he displays more affections and outmost care for Eun Channie comparing to what he displayed towards Han Yoo Joo, his on and off girlfriend of 9 years (!!) and the woman Choi Sajangnim loved (silently) for 9 years (!!). God, what I’d give to have 2 guys so loyal, even one guy will be hard to find. But later after she found out that Ahjusshi has his eye on someone, for NINE YEARS, she realized that she’s no match for the lucky woman. She steps out, and splurges her affection on the Sajangnim.

Next, you have the cute Han Sung Ahjusshi. He’s what a woman wants; at least I know I’d love a guy like him. Smart, cute, matured, loyal, caring.. I can find thousands of adjectives to describe his good sides. He has a bad side; erm.. I can’t find any yet. I’ll tell you when I found one. He’s not a perfect angel though, he had suffered when Yoo Joo Unni left him for another guy without any warning, and so he’s not ready for a new love affair. But he has the unspoken affection for Eun Channie, an affection that brings out the best in him.

The climax of his relationship with Eun Chan was when he suddenly kissed her out of nowhere. That was the period he really wavered on his love for Yoo Joo Unni. And the unni knows too; she demanded him to choose between two. But when he asked for time, she won’t give any – the unni - , she took a really drastic decision of going back to New York as she couldn’t forgive him. This is the period his loyalty is really tested; he broke off any contact with Eun Chan, to give himself time to mull it over. But yeah, in the end, he chose Yoo Joo Unni. Otherwise the Sajangnim will be left dateless, hello? But yeah, Han Sung Ahjusshi is the guy to model over if you’re a guy; he’s 99% perfect, personality-wise.

As for Yoo Joo Unni, personally I don't really like her. It's obvious that she's toying with both heroes' feelings, she played around with Sajangnim; something so obvious when Choi Halmoni was admitted into hospital. She knew that she's betrothed to Han Sung Ahjusshi, she demands for his full attention - after all the stuff she inflicted upon him, stupid girl..grrrr - and still play around with the Sajangnim. I pitied the poor guy who was with Eun Channie when he saw the Unni and Sajangnim together, so cozy-like, so close. Eun Channie? To say her heart's shattered at the sight of the two together would hurt her feelings; she was CRUSHED, literally when she saw the whole thing. That was how she played with the Sajangnim.

As for the Ahjusshi... She was most cruel and unmerciful towards him. But I guess when you really love someone, you become more and more selfish towards them. She demanded for full attention after she broke his heart. Leaving someone without any notice after cheating on him for a year prior of you ditching him is cruel enough. But to come back after two years and wanting him to take you back is very...unspeakable. But I know, I know, Ahjusshi loves her very much, even if I'm him, I'd still take her back.

PART TWO.

Now I'm going to comment on the supporting casts.

THE PRINCES.
AAAHHHHHH!!!!!! They are every girl's wildest dream! No Sun Ki, Jin Ha Rim, Hwang Min Yeop, Mr Hong.. Although I may not add Mr Hong as a good-looking guy, but onse he donned the Prince's attire, he looks cute and I won't mind introducing him as someone I knew. LOL.

No Sun Ki has a painful past, and he remains one of the Princes that supported the Eun Chan x Sajangnim relationship. His girl is one that is evasive, always gone in one blink. During the later episodes, we get to see him transform from a cold guy to a caring guy, something incomprehensible when you see his cold face. He barely has any mixture of emotions! But he cooks for his girl and her kid, something quite uncommon nowadays in cold guys. And to think, when Eun Chan's back from Italy, he's the one that hugged her first! Now, that is what I call transformation and changes. ^_^

Jin Ha Rim is a guy, quite pervie in my opinion. I mean, the first thing he said to Eun Chan was to comment on the girl's physical appearance; no, not how she dresses, but how she looks. If I might recall, he commented on her cheekbones, her complexion. Now, if he's saying that to a girl, I don't care. But saying those kinds of stuff to a 'guy', that REALLY gives me the creep. But I'm quite excited to see him in this drama since I watched him daily in 'Unstoppable Marriage' as the stingy 3rd son, Wang Sambaek. His character in the sitcom in hilarious and he ramains hilarious in Coffee Prince! He's damn pervert, he's cute and demanding - in the sweet way - towards Eun Chan. He even had a nickname for Eun Chan --> My Chan! I think this drama is another huge steeping stone for him to go far, he's downright hilarious when he's pulling pranks on Sajangnim, he's downright angry when he at last found out that Eun Chan is a girl. Oh, by the way, can I give a spoiler? Jin Ha Rim was the one to let the cat out of the bag, he was the one who went and told Sajangnim that Eun Chan's a girl. And messing up the situation more than it needs to be. Aiyohhh.. But he's cute, so I forgive him. LOL.

Next, Hwang Min Yeop. He's a guy that is strong as Hercules, but as dumb and straight as anyone can be. He was accepted by accident as a Prince, he was picking a fight with Eun Chan when he did all the hard work at the renovation of Coffee Prince at the beginning. The Sajangnim agreed when Ha Rim commented of his Herculean strength, and thus he was offered a job on spot. Later, he becomes the first to know that Eun Chan's a girl; he was waiting for Eun Sae to come out of the women's public bath when the two sisters came out together. But since he's quite slow, he dim-wittedly told Mr Hong - who already knows though - and then told No Sun Ki when he learned of Sun Ki's search for his evasive girlfriend. But stupid and dumb he might be, he helped Eun Chan in any tasks that requires great strength after knowing her gender, he insisted that guys should do all the hard work. I think I like him; so I think his love story with Eun Sae is indeed satisfactory, although how the girl treats him is truly cruel, in a way. Eun Sae is indeed someone you should NEVER imitate - in terms of actions and thinkings - in real life. Come on, spare the guy a little bit of sympathy! But I like how loyal he is to Eun Sae, she's his first and hopefully last love; eventhough when she has her eyes on Sun Ki.

I'm at loss at how to describe Mr Hong, but all I can say is he understands how love works; he keeps on chuckling and stuff when he sees the petty arguments Eun Chan and Sajangnim got into. He says, " They're in a love war." And he's hopeless in terms of hygiene, he wipes his feet - toes and all! - and then scratches his butt, and then wipes his face with the same cloth, and the wipes his teeth with it. EWWWWWWW! But he's a nice guy, and I like him.

I'll stop commenting about the casts, I won't be able to stop if I do go on. I hope what I already wrote is sufficient for the casts.

As for the plot, I think it's totally new. Not the 'love rectangle' thing, but how each character is exposed with each other. How Eun Chan meets Sajangnim for the first time while on her food delivery - girls, get ready to ogle, Gong Yoo is in his towels..ONLY... - , how Eun Chan stumbles into Sajangnim and Yoo Joo Unni thus earning himself a job with the impossible Sjangnim as his 'boyfriend', how Eun Chan meets up with Ahjusshi, who is one of her subscribers of delivery; she goes to his house every day. In simple words, the focus of the story is Eun Chan.

Later, when Eun Chan is out on a date with the Ahjusshi for the first time, she's dressed in this totally beautiful wine/cream-coloured gown with sequins and watch how she accidentally falls into Ahjusshi's arms; it's ACCIDENTAL! Yoon Eun Hye did a good job wobbling in the high heels; she sure fooled me.

I kept on waiting to see how Sajangnim would find out about Eun Channie's gender, but I was sadly kept waiting - not that I did not have fun waiting for - until episode 8 (I believe) when Ha Rim opened his big yap of a mouth. In the between, see how Sajangnim couldn't keep his focus in one place, thus making him grab Eun Chan to the upper storey of the shop and asking; nay, demanding for a hug. LOL. Sweet.

What else, eh?

I'd have to think first of what to add. But what I can say is that this drama is worth your time and money; I'd watch it at Mysoju - and I thank dear God for making me pick this drama as the first drama I watched off Mysoju - continuously in 3 days. I'd lay around in my room in the dark, waiting for the buffering to complete until 3am. I know I'm crazy. LOL. So, for the excellent work the casts shown in this drama, I'd already ordered my copy of this drama. NoW I'd have the opportunity of watching it on telly, instead of the small-screen computer. YES!

As for the ratings, I'd give them 97.9 percent. It's not perfect, but it's near-perfect. I mean, how much k-drama I've seen that maintained a happy-go-lucky atmosphere, yet have the same aching longing? This is the first drama I've seen that kept me anticipating each scenes, some feat since I watched 'Sassy Girl Chun Hyang' with 30 percent less anticipation. Maybe it's because 'Sassy Girl' have many sad moments?

Anyway, it's totally worth every dime, every second.

I love this drama. I am now an official Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye fan. I'll be looking out for Gong Yoo when he's out of his military service term. And I'll see if 'One Fine Day' is worth my time too; it's aired on local channel but dubbed in Mandarin. It sounds bad in Mandarin..ughhh...., but based on what I'd seen - lots of Gong Yoo crying- but yeah, maybe I'll give it a try. Gong Yoo's in it! LOL.

The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince (커피프린스 1호점, or Coffee Prince) is a South Korean drama that aired on July 2, 2007 in South Korea. It aired every Monday and Tuesday. It stars popular actress Yoon Eun Hye from Goong, Gong Yoo from One Fine Day and Lee Sun Gyun from White Tower and Chae Jung Ahn. The drama contains vaguely homosexual elements, although these are disputable given the theme of the plot.

Due to the show's popularity, MBC had announced extension of the show by one episode. MBC also aired a special on August 28, 2007. Gong Yoo watched the special with 1000 fans from all over Asia.
SYNOPSIS

I kept on waiting to see how Sajangnim would find out about Eun Channie's gender, but I was sadly kept waiting - not that I did not have fun waiting for - until episode 8 (I believe) when Ha Rim opened his big yap of a mouth.

LOL.
About Dam-deok (Gwang Gae Toh Dae Wang)

He was the 19th king of Goguryeo (lasted from 37 B.C. to 668 A.D.). During the time of Dam-deok, Goguryeo was the most powerful nation in East Asia (yes, even the Chinese dynasty couldn't defeat Goguryeo). At age 11, he was made the Crown Prince and became King when he was 16. In 396, he attacked Baekje (a nation Southwest of Goguryeo) and took over the northern area above the Han River. He defeated the many invasions made by the Yeon Dynasty (China) after 400 A.D. During his reign, the number of castles he took over numbered in the hundreds and villages numbered in the thousands. However, he died at an untimely age of 39.

Storyline

Jumong, the founder of Goguryeo, establish Goguryeo with his Four Gods: Cheong-ryong (Blue Dragon), Baek-ho (White Tiger), Joo-jak (Phoenix), Hyeon-mu (symbolized as a turtle). The Japanese may know them as Seiryuu, Byakko, Suzaku, and Genbu. Jumong marries Soseono, who had a big part in the founding of Goguryeo. They have two sons, Onjo and Biryu. When the son of Jumong's first wife came to Goguryeo in search of his father, and is named Crown Prince, Soseono takes her sons, Onjo and Biryu, South and establishs Baekje. This is how Baekje and Goguryeo were known as "brother countries".

As time passed, the Four Gods secluded themselves from society and watched as Baekje and Goguryeo's relationship worsened (worsened more mainly because Goguryeo's king was killed in a battle between Baekje and Goguryeo).

One day, Ju-ahn, "Hyeon-mu" of the Four Gods, sees two stars sour up into the sky. Since one came from the palace in Baekje, it predicted the birth of "Su", later known as King Ah-shin. The other star came from Goguryeo, prophesizing the birth of Dam-deok, later known as Gwang Gae Toh Dae Wang.

Realizing that his new master has come to the world, Ju-ahn awaits in the vast Manchuria with a young girl, Sujini, to see which of the two will be his master. Sujini was picked up as an orphan by Ju-ahn and considers Ju-ahn as her father.

Therefore, the story is on the Four Gods looking for their master, Gwang Gae Toh Dae Wang, who was an expert in tactics, the woman he loved (Sujini), who was also loved by the coldhearted King Ah-shin.
Review

Unlike Jumong, The Legend is not your typical historical drama with only 24 episodes. The location plus the costume that was being used was great. As for the graphics and special effects, the first two episodes was not quite impressive with the effects that was being used. But for the rest, it was great. About the cast, the actors and actresses played beautifully on this series, they contributed and dedicated much work and acts, especially Bae Yong Jun, who really acts natural and great (i cant say anything more about BYJ, cause he is so GREAT as in super), and Lee Ji Ah, whose a newcomer and a first timer, was did a great job too. Well, the only negative thing that i can tell about this series was i just hope the director, writer and crew, lengthen the story more, cause i can tell they rushed the story when it came to episode 23, some parts are were like storytelling, as if they wanted to end the series. But overall, it was a great series to watch. I really recommend this.

He is very wealthy and treats Yun He kindly, but his family doesn’t accept her - his wife, very greedy and cruel woman, makes Yun He’s life like the life of Cinderella, his children – daughter and son are jealous of him and always abase her. But Yun He endures everything and still has the sense of gratitude in her heart for her benefactor.

In the same time we see another two main characters of this series. Min He Kang (Ahn Jae Wook) and Jun He (Cha In Pyo). They are good friends but have very big difference in temper. Min He is insolent, lively and self-confident man, he writes his own songs and wants to be a singer, but his father is very respectable military, who achieved a super appointment in his work. Thus Min He’s father is very severe and thinks that it is a shame to be a singer.

To the other hand Jun He is calm, reasonable and polite man, who looks older than he is. His father died and he lives with his grandfather, the president of a big company. His girlfriend Sofia jilted him, cos she knew that his grandfather against her, but Jun He still remembers and loves her. One interesting detail is that Yun He looks rather like Sofia, her face, figure, but not the way of behaving. So when Jun He sees Yun He just by accident for the first time he feels lively interest to her.

During the series the destiny ties them and always brings them together. Min He makes his dream come true, he becomes a very famous singer, but he is still not happy, may be he is waiting for his companion in life??? So he falls in love with Yun He, he likes her kindness and strong character, but she thinks that he is pity her and to be pitied is unendurable for her. In the same time Min He’s father is against her, he thinks that the girl without deserving family can’t be with his son. The storyline discloses will they be together or not……

My opinion of storyline:
I think that the story is really cute, cos we always like the stories about Cinderella. Therewith the story is not long, there are (as I remember) only about 15 episodes in it. And every episode is very informative and u can’t tear yourself away from the series)))

The characters and the actors:
All of the actors were outstanding in their roles.
Ahn Jae Wook - Min He
Choi Jin Sil – Yun He
Cha In Pyo – Jun He

Music of the series:
There is a lot of gorgeous music in this series, the main character is singer, so he sings a lot of calm and beautiful songs! I still like to listen them))

Conclusion:
It is not new korean series, but I still highly recommend it to every fan of korean series!!!

SYNOPSIS

“The man of the vineyard” is a comic story about a girl from a big city who moves to a village to make money for starting her own business and meets there a guy working in a grape field. Dreaming of setting up her own apparel firm, Ji-hyun one day receives an alluring offer from her relative who promises her to leave a big grape field when he dies if she works in the field for a year. At first, Ji-hyun insists she will never in her life work on a farm, but eventually ends up becoming a farmer because of her ever complaining mother. Ji-hyun decides to try her best to achieve her dream of becoming an entrepreneur by inheriting the grape field, but being a farmer turns out a challenging task. To make things worse, the guy she meets in the village, Taek-ki, keeps driving her crazy. However, after many twists and turns Ji-hyun adapts to rustic life and opens up to the warmhearted residents of the village as well as ends up falling in love with Taek-ki.
CREDIT TO:koreandrama.org

MY OPINION:

In this korean series both Yoon Eun-hye and Oh Man-seok won best new actress and best new actor awards for their convincing portrayal. They also won the "Best Couple Award" in Korea. the story is very realistic and all of us can relate. the story is very simple and funny.its not that love story we usually expected like a modern one, its a light romantic drama about the city girl who fell in love in a countryman ( considering that this two has different views in life and the reason of living in here is the posibility of having the land as her inheritance.) in this series you will witness some featured beautiful rustic scenery that you'll love it too!

what's good about this drama is that Yoon Eun-hye chooses to lived simple despite of the opportunity she may have and to have a good man with good things in life. like at first you'll find it boring but then as you go on watching it will enticed you then let you realized that the series is good enough and pretty sure you'll love it .

Synopsis
Yang Gook-Hwa (Goo Hye-Seon) is a nineteen-year-old Korean woman from Yanbian, China, who comes to Seoul to marry a man 10+ years her senior after just a few meetings, but on her way to Korea, her soon-to-be husband dies in an accident, so his nephew, Woo-Kyeong (Lee Min-Woo) goes to the shipdock to meet her. After learning the tragic truth, Gook-Hwa, who is supposed to head back to China, decides to give Korea a try. She begins looking for a job so she can send money back to her aunt and uncle who raised her back in Yanbian.

Gook-Hwa eventually lands a job as a secretary at a communications company, but her bold personality and accident-prone tendencies keep clashing with her new boss, Yoon-Hoo (Seo Ji-Seok), who is also the son of the company president. Yoon-Hoo's ill-temper is common knowledge at the company, as he has fired twelve secretaries before Gook-Hwa, for petty mistakes such as wiping his desk with a rag instead of paper towel, or not cleaning the coffee mug perfectly. Yoon-Hoo is admired by his long-time friend Shin-Hyeong (Choo So-Young), who is also Woo-Kyeong's classmate and current colleague. As Woo-Kyeong watches over Gook-Hwa by teaching her how to navigate through the Seoul way of living, he begins to develop a romantic fondness for the young and lovable Gook-Hwa. Meanwhile, Yoon-Hoo also appears to be opening his heart toward the naive but alluring Gook-Hwa, despite the mishaps she brings into his life...

SOME THOUGHTS...might contain spoilers
i first read about the synopsis and i found it interesting.i thought it would have some cliches that i've seen in other kdramas (rich guy, poor girl, guy's parents doesn't approve...blah blah blah), but i was completely wrong.
the 1st episode starts out with soo-kyung and phillip in the train station.when soo-kyung sees him kneeling down on one knee, she knows what's going to happen next, phillip is proposing.since she doesn't want to embarrass him,she hesitatingly accepts.
on the other hand, dong wook goes on a blind date with the polite yu-jin.the date was set up by their mothers.although he doesn't approve,he still went to the date and finds yu-jin cute.
...the 1st episode just got me...i had to watch the whole series..

anyways..
i find this show to be really really good.i don't think there was an antagonist in this show or i should say that each of the characters were like a "bad guy" one way or the other or is part of a love triangle.i also like that all of them were connected with each other in some way, like philip was soo-kyung's boyfriend who is yu-jin's coworker and friend who is dong wook's girlfriend, dong wook is rye hei's friend who is dating min-ae who is also dating phillip.(i hope it's not so confusing...well you'll understand when you see it).
it's not your typical kdrama...which is the reason i had to watch it.
i think it is realistic in a sense that it depicts something that could happen to anyone (e.g getting cheated in a relationship, pressure of marrying, getting seduced)
also..
you just have to watch all the episodes as it would show different sides on one situation...such as episode 10 might show soo-kyung's perspective when she and dong wook met and episode 11 shows dong-wook's perspective..
i enjoyed watching the scenes with yu-jin and dong-wook when they were dating..and how yu-jin has those "accidents"
also, the scenes where dong wook reads soo-kyung's mind...hahaha!!!
he just looks crazy...and how dong wook and soo-kyung always meet at unexpected times..
i think most of the funny scenes involve mi-jin,soo-kyung and yu-jin's boss, and jung hwan..mi-jin just forces herself to him, but in the end it all works out..
ooohhh...
also..this was the 1st time i saw this in a kseries...2 guys kisssed!
if you wanna know who, you have to watch the show..
i just find it hilarious..

well..
the ending just wasn't good enough(for me..)
i think it was open ended a lot of things could happen...

final words..
soulmate is a definite must-watch series..
if you're looking for something different, soulmate is for you..
even if you just want to watch kdrama..

this series shows you some dating techniques and how to seduce someone, which are quite interesting to watch...
it explores the possibility that there are soulmates for everyone.
whether you believe in them or not, it's up to you...
here's a music video of the show...
Synopsis:
The story of Hwang Jin Yi, the famous 16th century Gisaeng.

This story sheds new light on the life of Joseon-era dancer, musician and poet Hwang Jin Yi, who made her art blossom even when her love was put to test. The series also depicts the tragic life of a woman who faces hardships due to her social status. The drama drew the spotlight even before its premiere because Hwang Jin Yi is portrayed by top actress Ha Ji Won. Wang Bit Na portrays another prominent dancer of the same era who is jealous of Hwang Jin Yi¡¯s artistic talent. The role of nobleman Kim Eun Ho, Hwang Jin Yi¡¯s first love who dies because their love turns out unrealistic due to differences in their social status, is played by Jang Geun Suk, while king¡¯s relative Byuk Kye Soo, who becomes addicted to Hwang Jin Yi but fails to win her heart, is played by Yoo Tae Jun. Actor Lee Shi Hwan portrays Yi Saeng, an ambivalent character who is neither Hwang Jin Yi¡¯s lover nor friend. Kim Young Ae plays the role of dancing girls¡¯ trainer, while Kim Bo Yeon portrays her rival, Mae-hyang. The role of dancer Heon-keum, Hwang Jin Yi's mother who gave birth to her as a result of her belief that love only comes once in a lifetime, is portrayed by Jun Mi Sun.

My Review:

This drama series is about the life of a woman from joseon era who is creative, witty, dancer, musician, and a poet who seek perfection of his arts, with this ability, she uses it to protect herself in the hardship due to their lowly social status. For me, among other historical series this one will touches your heart, you'll be able to see the hardship, of the women in the joseon dynasty treating them as slaved , a thing, for not giving them respect as it should be,and rivalry of the woman so to be notice by a nobleman. There's much to see. many says this is a second for jummong series but i guess much better than that .though i really believed we have this own preferrence i'll guarantee you it's the best. and also a higly recommended one.

REVIEW
When i first watched this movie, i remembered the movie The Silence of the Lambs. The story is shocking, lots of twists. The actors are interesting and the acting is great. The location is quite impressive although you might find the movie sometimes brutal. And although you already know who is the suspect, you are still not sure till the end. Dont know if this movie gets the attention of the foreign industry, but its sure is a hit in a korean industry. I recommend this for those suspense movie goers, and although its a bit old, you will definitely enjoy this one.
Review
Well, I'm not that good when it comes to reviewing. I can say that you will see a different Lee Jun Ki. After I watched the ep 2 I couldn't wait to see what will happen in the end. It was like watching a suspense movie. I've never watched such a good and nice series. Well, all I can say is that I recommend this to those who wanted to see a different kind. And There's a twist in the end of it.
