8 Tips for a Healty and Shining Skin

Tip 1: Drink Water

Water has long been considered as the most efficient natural treatment or an almost free treatment for any skin condition because of its being alkaline, with pH 7.3. It prevents dehydration which is capable of producing sebum or oil from the sebaceous glands. Your skin needs water in order for it to function best, thus doctors and nutritionists suggest that a daily intake of between 6 to 8 glasses of water per day is highly needed.

Tip 2: Watch Your Diet

Nutrition plays a vital role in skin health too. Specific foods such as those acidic foods and dairy products are said to be effective in causing an allergic reaction in some people. Also, one of the widely debated topics in the area of nutrition today is chocolates. Some say that chocolate does affect the condition of the skin, while others say it doesn’t. Whatever the result may be, the best advice is just to follow a nutritious diet that has a number of fresh fruits and green-leafy veggies, as well as fiber.

Tip 3: Consider Exfoliants

Many experts say that exfoliating your skin is another great way to attain a beautiful skin. So, try to invest in a good body exfoliant or “loofah, as it is commonly called, as it is capable of eliminating the dead skin cells from your body. Accordingly, this should be done once or twice a week so to free the skin to breathe. What’s more, exfoliants help to put off ingrown hair from developing.

However, it is essential to avoid using any body exfoliant on the skin on the face. The main reason for this precaution is that the facial tissue is more sensitive and finer than those tissues of the body.

Tip 4: Consider a Healthy Routine for Facial Care

When it comes to facial skin care, getting into a healthy beauty routine is not bad. Most of the doctors today greatly suggest that you cleanse, moisturize and tone your skin twice every day. When cleaning, never fail to remember cleaning the area on the neck, including your face. Apply a moisturizer or neck cream after.

Before going to bed at night, always bear in mind to remove all make up. Clean your skin before you sleep, no matter how tired you may feel. It was found out that during the night, the skin goes through a process of elimination and cannot breathe properly if it is clogged with make up. And, you may also find out that sleeping with your make up on will cause your skin to “break out with spots on it.

When it comes to shaving for men, some men may experience shaving rashes. For many, these rashes lower their self-esteem, but this is actually not a big problem to think about. There are a lot ways to avoid rashes. Perhaps one of the best is to make sure that when shaving, the razor strokes are following the direction of hair growth. That’s simply it!

Tip 5: Heal Your Feet

When it comes to skin care, the feet are often neglected. So, if care you found no time for a professional pedicure, try to fill a football or basin with warm water and add your favorite essential oil. Soak your feet for about fifteen minutes. Then, dry them and apply a rough skin remover onto them. Rinse this off and dry you feet well. And, if you consider pedicure, simply add some body cream to your feet for an easy and quick fix pedicure.

Tip 6: Avoid Too Much Exposure to the Sun

One of the most common precautions when it comes to skin care is avoiding too much exposure to the sun. As you may know, over exposure to sunlight causes sunburn. So, while current sun blocks only block out the UVB rays and still let in harmful UVA rays, it is still wise to cover up before venturing into the hands of Apollo. If possible, use a wide brimmed hat while tending your garden to keep the sun from your face.

Tip 7: Exercise

Aside from considering a healthy diet, exercising your body also helps keep your skin healthy. Note that a proper exercise does not only keep the body fit by regulating the oxygen; it also improves the glow of the skin as well.

Tip 8: Take Enough Rest

One common problem that face people is stress; the one which is not normal. It was found out that when a person is stressed, the adrenal cortex converts adrenal androgens to the hormone testosterone in male and female, which in turn results in overactive sebaceous glands. These adrenal androgens are released causing a double amount of testosterone, causing the face to be oily, while other areas of the body are still dry from dehydration. So, taking proper rest that includes 6 to 8 hours of undisturbed sleep daily is the best way to rejuvenate the skin.

Christy Chung (鍾麗緹 Jūng Laitài Pinyin: Zhōng Lìtí; Vietnamese: Chung Lệ Đề, born 19 September 1970) is Canadian-Chinese Actress. She was born in Montreal to a Chinese father and a Vietnamese mother.

She grew up in Brossard, Quebec, a suburb of Montreal, with French and Vietnamese as mother-tongues. She later learned English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

While studying for a career in the tourism industry at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), she entered and won the "Miss Chinese Montreal" contest in 1992. She then went to Hong Kong, in her first trip away from home, to participate in the Miss Chinese International pageant in January 1993, in which she won despite not knowing a single Chinese word. This opened doors for her to launch her acting career there, despite not speaking a word of Cantonese at the time, and despite her extremely limited acting experience (an uncredited ten-second non-speaking role as a gum-chewing prostitute in Denys Arcand's Love and Human Remains). She had to choose between acting in Hong Kong and becoming the weather-forecast presenter at Société Radio-Canada, the French-language government television network in Canada.

A role in The Bride with White Hair 2 brought her instant recognition, and she became a well-known star in Chinese-language popular culture, acting in a large number of films including some films starring Stephen Chow, as well as The Bodyguard from Beijing starring Jet Li. She was married for a time to Glen Ross, and gave birth to daughter (Yasmine) in Montreal in the middle of the 1998 Ice Storm. Christy and Ross were divorced in 2002, but remain on good terms. Christy has sole custody of Yasmine.

Giving birth to Yasmine temporarily had a negative effect on her career because of a stereotypical impression that a mother could not function as a sex symbol, but her career recovered in 2000. More recently, she had roles in Samsara and Jackie Chan's movie The Medallion. She added Thai to her language repertoire when she starred in Nonzee Nimibutr's 2001 film Jan Dara. Singapore FHM magazine voted her the "Sexiest Woman in Asia" in 2000.

In August 2003, Christy remarried to a music producer named Jon in Beijing.

She is also known to be a fan of English football club Chelsea.

Despite her success, she remains mostly unknown in Quebec, where she was born and grew up, because she has done most of her film work in Cantonese.

Christy was recently seen at the 2007 Sina Awards and is currently working on an album.

I think it'd be wonderful if we were able to see posts by members that didn't have any replies; that way we could see and respond to them. However, this wouldn't have to apply to all forums. For example, the Reviews, Anything, Banned Appeals, News, and other Miscellaneous forums wouldn't need this addition. This would just be a great way for users to begin interacting more with other people and make this forum possibly more active in other areas.

What do you guys think? Support? No Support? Additional comments?

Lust, Caution (色，戒)

Directed By: Ang Lee [李安]
Approximate Run Time: Original 157 min / Edited 148 min
Rated: Original NC-17 / Edited R
Available in: Mandarin, Japanese, English, Hindi, Shanghainese, Cantonese

The cast, from what I could decipher:
Tony Leung Chiu Wai ... Mr. Yee (易先生)
Wei Tang	... Wong Chia Chi / Mrs. Mak (王佳芝／麥太太)
Joan Chen	... Mrs. Yee (易太太)
Lee-Hom Wang	... Kuang Yu Min (鄺裕民)

Plot:
Set in Hong Kong and Shanghai when China was invaded by the Japanese Imperial Army, a group of Chinese university students from LingNan University plot to infiltrate and assassinate the enemy's top special agent / recuiter by using a beautiful young woman as bait. When the girl falls for the enemy and is given a colored ring... lust, caution abounds.

My take:
This was a stunning piece of art. I was a little disappointed in how much graphic sex was in there; I didn't really think it was necessary to have so many. >_< In the edited version, there are less sex scenes... so if you don't like fast-forwarding, the edited version may be better.
Tony Leung and Lee-Hom Wang are famous actors and it was wonderful to see them working together in the film. Leung plays the antagonist while Lee-Hom was the ringleader of the cute but earnest university students. The movie is classified as an espionage thriller, but there are hints of romance as well. In the beginning, we see the female protagonist phone her contacts [and this part confused me] but afterwards she flashes back to the recent events. The audience will spend most of the movie in her memories as she reflects on how she arrived at the moment the movie began. The conclusion occurs after she --and we-- catch up to the present. We move beyond to the final event in her life.
I thought this was a beautiful movie. Some parts were a bit violent and again, I don't believe that much sex was really necessary for the film. However, it is based on a supposedly true story written by Eileen Chang in 1979. Some may call it a horrible film and you may agree, but this is definitely one movie you should not miss.

Final Rating: 92%
CNN reporter, Eunice Yoon reports that hard times in Hong Kong force some to live in cages, but even those accommodations aren't cheap.

Nineteen people are sharing a 625 sq. foot apartment. They all share the same kitchen, bathroom, and sleep on wooden planks.
The bedding consist of the upper and lower decks. The upper deck, they pay about 100 USD and the lower deck 150 USD because at the lower deck you can stand upright which is why they charge more. In addition, some of the residents have live in the cage apartment for years due to the recession or have lost their job.
