The Beijing Olympic Park, also known as the Olympic Green, opened to the public free of charge on Oct. 10. In the first following weekend, the park saw a sharp increase in the number of visitors hoping to get an inside look at the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube.

A reporter from cri.english reports:

Since the Olympic Park opened to the public last Friday, the subway line has carried nearly one million visitors to the Beijing Olympic area.

Many domestic and foreign visitors came to the park during the weekend to enjoy the striking architecture.

"We estimate that 300,000 to 400,000 tourists visited the park every day. Our main task was to maintain the order and create a better environment for people coming by. However, the great number of visitors as well as the vast size of the Olympic Green makes the work difficult."

The sharp increase in tourists over the weekend also strained the environment and facilities of the park. A tourist from Shanghai complained about the sight he encountered inside the Bird's Nest.

The day before yesterday was Chun's birthday, and during the concert rehearsal, the other 3 members of Fahrenheit and S.H.E played a joke on him, luckily there was a big birthday cake and crabs to celebrate afterwards. Chun said that his birthday wish is that he hopes he won't lose another cellphone, because this year, he has lost a total of 6 cellphones, including the one he lost recently in Hang Zhou.

A woman only known as Baek is being investigated by the police for spreading false rumors online about Choi loaning money to the passed away actor, Ahn Jae-Hwan, which drove him to commit suicide.

The rumor also put Choi to an emotional breakdown which drove her to hang herself on the day of October 2.

Thousands of comments were posted on various website displaying their hateful gratitude amongst Baek for the leading cause of death of Shil. Some sites had comments like "I want you do be under the same pain, same stress as Choi Jin Shil" or "You made Choi Jin-shil die!"

Netizens went as far as displaying personal information about her across the internet. They have revealed photos of her and her boyfriend, what university she goes to, and which church she frequently attends, and etc.

All the entertainment sites that had information about Baek quickly removed their articles including the pictures, and links. Unfortunately, many has already seen them.

As Baek is being investigated, the police said that Baek revealed receiving calls from Shil on the day of her death, but couldn't reply in time because she didn't feel well. She also said that she called Choi Jin Shil on September 30th and begged for her forgiveness for spreading the rumors.

Baek said she really regrets for what she has done and how much it has hurt Choi's feelings while they were both on the telephone.

The police are planning to prosecute Baek and three other of her coworkers for making up rumors along with her.

In a bizarre news that made headlines, a couple in rural Cambodia has terminated their 18-year marriage with a divorce settlement that entailed sawing the wooden house in two they once shared, villagers said Friday.

The husband, 42-year-old Moeun Sarim, has taken away with him all the bits and pieces of his half a house, said his 35-year-old wife, Vat Navy.

"Very strange, but this is what my husband wanted," she said by phone from a village about 62 miles east of Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh. She said they ended their marriage last month.

"He brought his relatives and used saws to cut the house in half," she said, adding that she now owns the other half that is still standing. The house is made from wood with a tile roof and propped up on wooden pillars, a typical style for a Cambodian country home.

She said her estranged husband and his relatives, after ripping apart half of the house, carried all the debris to his parents' house nearby.

She said the divorce was prompted by her husband's jealousy about her alleged relationship with a policeman in the village. She denied having an extramarital affair.

"He wanted a divorce, and I said, "Let's divorce," she said.

The husband could not be reached for comment.

Bou Bout, a village chief, said local officials and police were present to witness the day the couple split their 20-by-24 1/2 foot house into half.

"Local officials tried three times to get them to mend their differences, but the husband would not budge," Bou Bout said by phone.
