RE: Simple VS Traditional chinese

i'm learning traditional, but whenever we see simplified characters we wish we can learn those instead because they would be SO much easier to remember! some of my teachers don't even know all of the traditional characters we learn.

RE: Simple VS Traditional chinese

im also learning traditional and appearently not so good at it lols. The simplified characters are easier to write and all than the traditional but i think that the traditional is better. >< The simplified is mostly used by people who are too lazy to write out the whole word lols. no offense. also in schools or whatever, they usually teach traditional and besides, its called traditional for a reason XD

RE: Simple VS Traditional chinese

The resaon china made this simple Character was to make more ppl to beable to read and write chinese... And aslo to make a language that is writtable and speakable in the hole china...

I think both are pretty good. Traditional have their history. If you can read traditional then you can read scripts as old as 2000 years ago.

That is the problem with simple ones. If you only know the simple ones u can read older lyrics Sad sad 2 say...

But like some1 said here, that simplifed is for lazy ppl... That is just wrong. Lazy ppl only know one of these characters.

you should know both of them....

History is very important.

RE: Simple VS Traditional chinese

simplified is used in mainland china, and traditional is used int taiwan and hk. i don't know about the other countries. i prefer traditional though, cause it looks better in calligraphy and i think has more meaning to the words than simplified.

Do not regret things in the past, only live in the present ,dont think about the future.

Life's too short, so why waste it on school.
