Did you go to Homecoming?

RE: Did you go to Homecoming?
I think you guys are too obsessed with actual cost...If you go through life, trying to weigh whether something is worth the actual cost to do it, then you won't be doing very much. Money is money, it comes and goes, you can always make more money, but missing out on things like homecoming, you can't get back.

Maybe you're right, and you might not enjoy yourself, but think, maybe you will. I'd much rather go and get bored, then to have never gone, and wondered if it would have been fun. There are always those people that say that school events are dumb/boring/lame, but whatever, their choice. All I know, is that I have a great time, and that's enough for me.

It's actually quite difficult for some people to earn that money, and they would rather go spend it on something more important to them then a dance. Also, if they find the dance boring, they would spend that money on something more entertaining for them such as a play.

The thing is, I just believe these are big social gatherings with the addition of dancing. Over here, it's mostly resorted to dirty dancing by most people which I find retarded and not something I would ever lower myself to go do. When I see people dance like that, it kinda annoys me and I find the entire event I'm at quite....not worth it. That's why, to me, I consider it dumb and lame...because to me, I don't enjoy those things, they dont' catch my interest.

On a night where I could have gone to homecoming, spending 20 bucks to get in, I went to a friends house after prayers, we watched a movie, played blackjack, video games, pokemon, had pizza and had a great time. I'd rather prefer something like that then over some dance.

RE: Did you go to Homecoming?
our dance is pretty ghetto. I think I go to the only school where no one dresses up for homecoming. the only people who go are freshmen who haven't experienced how bad the dance is -___- our homecoming is next friday but I'm only going to the game

RE: Did you go to Homecoming?
i only went to homecoming in my senior year. i didn't think going the other years, since homecoming, at least at my school, pretty much sucked. it is the typical dance where everyone just stands around and talks, while two or three (if ur lucky) goes out and dances.

i think the only dance worth going to is prom, since it is more extravagant and more formal than other dances.
