meeting people on myspace

have you've ever hooked up with a myspace user? just curious. I ended doing so and we are both dating each other for almost 2 years now! thanks myspace.

Lance has a good point, Myspace is a risky place to find love when surely we have ALL heard on the news, there been cases regarding Myspace's sex offenders, people committing suicide because the person didn't want add them to friends, stalkers, and people taking people's identity (identity deaft). What I have listed are all true cases and it saddens me on how much one site take it poll on people.

I wouldn't make Myspace a good dating site either. The only reason I have one is purposely be on contact with my real life friends and families that I rarely see or hardly ever but yet still catch up on things and see how life going for them

it is surely good to have friends .. but that does not mean risking my life for them! this is a crazy reaction !

Hmmm I highly advise people to not do so as there are some true sickos out there. If you REALLY want to meet someone online, try a reputable local dating site. Meeting people over the internet is so risky. The dangers...can't even describe how bad they truly are.

That is a bit scary yea... My sister, however, on the forums she visits and as against I was with it, have met a few people she met online as well... they traded myspaces and talked to eachother on the phone a lot, and now met in real life... I'm just a bit... er disapproving til now also because they were even older than me, but they were also girls so I don't really mind. If they were guys... I would totally be against it! And I'm sure my parents would be too

well i wont advise it too. there this one incident (from what ive watched in TV Patrol World) that a girl met a boy from friendster (like myspace) and then the girl never came back home. her mother and sister were so worried about her thats why they announce it on tv, they wanted to know if the girl was okay, they havent got one call from her since her meeting with a boy

I don't see how myspace is any different than other dating websites, except it's free. Is it good? That all depends on you. Should people just judge things like meeting people on the internet as being bad because that's how they were raised? No, but they should also use their heads. I have met some good and some bad people on the internet. It all depends on your patients, usually if someone is genuine then they will have patients also and want to get to know you way before meeting you. And talking on the phone is a good thing. Just be careful about things. Avoid people that start out asking personal info.
