Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Nintendo DS)

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Nintendo DS)
I'm currently playing Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the DS. It's quite different from the usual DS games since you have to use the stylus in order to play the game and there are instances when you have to use the mic too. I admit, it's a bit tiring to keep on holding the stylus the whole time, even during battles, but I got used to it.

The gameplay is the usual Zelda fair. For the Phantom Hourglass, Link is out to save a friend, Tetra, who was captured by a Ghost Ship. In order to do that, Link will need to travel to different islands collecting power gems and spirits, searching for treasure chests, solving puzzles, fighting big bosses and fishing (yes, even that!). There are side games as well where you can win ship parts for upgrades, extra heart containers or gems, among others.

I haven't finished this yet but I'm already at the final stage of the game. Need to rest my arms and fingers for a bit since it's already cramping up from playing the game the whole day and better part of the night (hehe!). Since I'm a Zelda fan and I love playing RPG games, I'm enjoying this newest addition to the Zelda line. It's cool playing this using the DS since there are parts of the game where you can write notes on the map and there are some puzzles when you'll need to do this. The use of the mic is also quite cool. You can even get to exchange ship parts or items with other players using the DS Wi-fi connection.

Anyway, for DS users and Zelda fans, you might want to try this game out. Just be ready for hours and hours of gameplay and puzzle solving!

Finished this game a while ago.
It was rather easy... compared to the old ones. And much shorter. I suppose they're getting us used to the idea of using only the stylus and then, if it works with the gamers, they'll make a much more complex and LONG adventure!!!

At least that's my wish Smile

Now playing Spirit Tracks. I think I was right; after getting used to the stylus, it's much easier to enjoy a long game like Spirit Tracks!

Which DS do you have the original or SI(features a camera) because I need to know which one is better whenever buying my own?
