wow you guys, good opinions and comments about this, we decided to just be friends and see how it goes from there, the parents are finally understanding to let us decide if either of us want this. I'm so glad and thankful!! whew

Don't approve on those too, arrange marriage because for me I still want to choose the one I love than the person they like. I'm not saying that you should not obey them but it is still your life. I'm glad you talked to the mom, at least she knows already maybe she'll think it over again.

I am completely against the arranged marriage . It looks me weird to marry unknown and unseen person .If your mom is insisting ,you should try to communicate with her .I know that you just can not say no to your mom .Make her feel that you are still not ready for the marriage.I hope she will really listen to you.

I don't know if this occurred to anyone here, but I find arranged marriages cool. For me it's something like a challenge to the parties involved, although it appears to be a pain especially when your heart already belongs to someone.

How do you feel about arranged marriage wether it be voluntary or forced? I personally think it would be easier to a certain extent. What do you think? What are your pro's & cons on this?

my parents know not to put me in an arranged marriage haha and they are in no rush to get me out of the house for the time being.

Arranged marriage is very rare now a day. It's not happen in my family. It would be very strange. I know some arrange marriages last for a long time, too. So, i would say it works for some people.

Sorry to hear about your current situation but the easiet way to get out of anything is simply make up an excuse.Lol its the same things some girls do whenever their not interested in a guy
