Groups?

Uh, question? I dont know if this has been asked before, but i noticed that beside each person there's a "group" thing which has "moderater", "downloader" etc... what is that for? and how do i know which group i am in??

I think that when you have under 15 posts, you will have "registered"
if you have over 15, you will have "downloaders"
If you are a moderator (pink names), then you get "moderators"
if you are a staff here who helps with the main page, you get "staff"
If you are an admin, (only 1 so far and that is "Lance") you get "site admin"
