RE: Simple VS Traditional chinese
I grew up learning Traditional Chinese, and I can only read a bit of chinese, and that's traditional. Simplified Chinese can be so confusing sometimes ><

RE: Simple VS Traditional chinese
I like traditional better even though it is harder to learn but its easier to understand though. Kind of confusing but when if you take chinese classes you'll see. Simplified Chinese is really uselss outside of china which is why its not really perferred..

RE: Simple VS Traditional chinese
yeh i've learned traditional all my life... i'm pretty hopeless.. lernt chinese foh like yrz and i still cant read much... but i gess traditional looks prettier ^-^.. though my teacher on random days would right the simplified versions next to the traditional versions so we can kind ov get the drift of how to read simplified if we come across it =] and my computer types up simplified version instead of traditional >.<

RE: Simple VS Traditional chinese
A large majority of Chinese people in China use simplified Chinese. I suppose more and more people are using simplified chinese simply because it is easier to write and remember. However, i think traditional characters are better, they also look better than simplified.
