The jump off will be on September 23, 2010 at 9 p.m., but as early as a week ago (August 26) a media launching party was held at the Fuse at Marina Bay Sands and tonight (September 2) at 9 p.m. on AXN-Asia, the racers for The Amazing Race Asia (TARA) were revealed in a one-hour special entitled Racers Revealed.

There are ten teams competing with 2 teams each from India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, and 1 team each from Hong Kong and Singapore.

Based on the specials aired last night, some are really buff and fit and some are really witty and uncanny! So, I wonder if the brawns can outsmart the brains! lol

Yeah, they're mostly working in the entertainment industry, right? I think this is the most actors/performers so far... But from different countries so I guess they're trying to capture the audience of different counties... The ones from the Philippines are not popular, though, but reports say they have part Asian blood and is living here for years.

Yep Megan... This is a franchise of The Amazing Race (TAR) but mostly the contestants are either born in Asia or living in Asia for years or having a relationship with one, regardless if they have Asian blood, for as long as they accepted and loved the Asian life... in TAR season 16 which aired this year, Allan Wu, the host for TARA, had a cameo appearance in Singapore leg of the race. He handed the contestants a clue Smile
