I've played piano since I was six, but I haven't practiced in at least a year (I'm 20).

I used to play the violin and the Er-hu (which is like an upright two stringed Chinese violin).

I play the Gu Zheng, also know as the Chinese zither. It's basically 21 strings, each with it's own bridge, stretched over a long hollow rectangular "box". You wear fake fingernails on your right hand and pluck with those. You left hand presses the strings on the left side of the bridges which are arranged diagonally across the top of the box. There are 18 and 22 stringed variations as well. Oh, if any of you have seen Huan Zhu Ge Ge (Returning Pearl Princess), it's the instrument that Zhi Wei (Ruby Lin's character) plays.
