RE: Japanese is the hardest language to learn?
I've been studying Japanese constantly since I was 17, and I can barely read a manga, and I can't make it through a few pages without a dictionary. I'm 22 now. Meanwhile, living in southern California since the same time, I am conversational 1 in Spanish, and I can't even stand the language. Plus, the roadblocks you'll go through, "I want everything in romaji", "Why not use hiragana in everything?", "I'm going to memorize Kanji by the grade", "How about rosetta stone?" before you realize the truth, that you have to learn Kanji early on, and you'll probably never be fluent.
And it doesn't help that when I speak to a Japanese person they tell me "japanese very easy! english is hard." ^^;
