English dubs for Japanese dramas?
Plenty of foreign material is dubbed into English - European movies, &c. Anime is regularly dubbed, of course. Why not more Japanese material? I have the dubbed DVD of Death Train, but I haven't found much else...

Ahh asian movies and dramas would not be the same in English dialect. I don't think it'd work out to well. At least anime is drawn and European languages aren't very different but Asian movies and such would lose it's touch in English. At least those are my thoughts.

I think, for me, the way Japanese guys speak so quickly would make it hard for somebody to speak English and maintain synchronization the way you might be able to get away with in Anime. That, and all the funny sounds people speak in other languages that would take away from the constantly-dramatic tone you hear in Japanese. ^_^

I tried watching a Japanese movie about ninjas in English, I even purchased it in wal-mart. It was pretty impossible to watch, because I felt like they got the cast of the Simpsons to voice-over on an awesome movie. In fact, if you do buy a dvd with dubs on it, the subtitles will be accurate to the dub and not the original, which can be a little confusing if you're learning Japanese.
