RE: How to deal with loneliness?
I've been single for about 5 months now and to be honest.... I'm enjoying it lol.. No more nagging, no more jealousy. I suffer from depression so I feel lonely even being in a relationship but when I feel really alone at times I just tend to call my ex's for some reason and we discuss the good ol' times. I guess that helps us both cope in someways to understand that we did have chemistry and we did care about each other regardless of the outcome. Being single isn't always enjoyable because yeah you do feel alone but you also have time for yourself to learn what you need to do to make the next relationship work.

RE: How to deal with loneliness?
loneliness from lack of a girlfriend/boyfriend can be cured differently for different people. But generally, the cure for it is to find something else to do while you wait for that special someone. I have my video games and my friends and my Korean Dramas and Song Hye Kyo Smile. There really isn't much to do about it, but to wait for the right person to appear in your life and go for it when it does. The important thing is busying yourself to something you like to do. Some people use online dating services too if you're into that, but I like finding girls the old fashioned way and that's by chance ^_^.

RE: How to deal with loneliness?
Well, you can always find activities to do, do something fun. Go shopping, hang out with your friends/family, work, or just watch series. Then time would go by really quick and you won't even be thinking about it.

RE: How to deal with loneliness?
I was incredibly lonely for nearly a year. I moved away from where I grew up and had to leave my very good friends. I just recently started feeling happy again and barely started making friends.
But the lonely year before that was so awful and felt like it just dragged on. I started feeling desperate too like I should get a boyfriend or something or just hang out with whoever, which wasn't a good idea since most kids at my school are "bad news". I decided not to do either and slowly I started feeling content and even started becoming happy again.

I think to overcome loneliness you need to just kinda wait it out and do other things to occupy you, although it is really helpful to start at least a few little relationships with people and become friends and communicate. Otherwise you'll feel incredibly lonely.

I felt just like that a little more than a year ago, during my first year of college. It was the first time I went to a school (and a big one with thousands of people) that I felt completely alone. Even though there were lots of people around me, I felt out of place for weeks before I finally found people I can call my friends. What got me through it was my laptop and Myspace. ^_^ I guess it was kinda like the Sims. I needed something to fill up my social needs and Myspace was good for it. Now there are other ways to fill up that need, like Facebook or this Forum. So if you are having trouble finding people right now, look to your old ones on the Internet or something.

RE: How to deal with loneliness?
I have been single for all my life... no boyfriends... just fling here and there... lol... kidding aside... I haven't felt lonely even if I haven't had the chance to have a relationship... I guess I'm just too content with my family that I don't feel the need to find love somewhere else...

I guess, loneliness can be solved by making new friends, reading books, watching dramas/movies or simply hanging out with friends... don't go to places which will remind you of the happy times or lonely times with your guy/girl... each person has different ways to deal with loneliness... you can either pig out or exhaust oneself with exercise... lol... or talk to someone that you like over the phone until your ear hurts... I've done that and it's fun... lol... but recently, I have my little world of make-believe wherein I can create different scenarios for my so-called relationships with my oppas!!! lol
