I'm currently in high school right now and most people I know that are dating always say I love you to each other even only after 1 week of dating....

I can't ever put myself to ever say I love you to someone if I really don't mean it. I don't like throwing that word out there like it's nothing. If I ever say "I love you", it better mean it. It's funny. My friend dated a girl for like 2 weeks and said I love you and blah blah blah and they break up shortly after. Is there really such thing as love in these short term relationships? I feel one should only say "I love you" after a year or so or if you actually feel like marrying the person.

So have you ever said it to your partner? I personally have never and they got pissed off. Prove me wrong on why I should say it to the next girl I date.

That was my point. I just wanted to see how other people thought of my topic. Most of my friends that are dating now alway say I love you even though they only dated for a max of one month. Love is thrown around way too much.

I do but I found that saying too much "i love you" will affect more in your relationship.
I don't know but saying such thing didn't comfort me, it makes me looks like a "needy man".

Here's something that happened to a friend I know. My friend said I love you to their bf and all of a sudden, the bf had the upper hand. Once she says that, the guy can easily take control since the girl says I love you making her a bit in the vulnerable side of the relationship.

It doesn't make you that needy is you really mean it and if she says it back to you. If she doesn't say it back to you while you keep saying it, then we have a problem lol.

well i dont know to you guys but us girls (mostly) wants our bf to said I love you for us to make sure that they really care for us and love us. i mean why the hell they court us for if they didnt love us nor like us right?

Edison i think if you dont like saying I love you to your gf, what i recommend is just say you like her. (and i thought you were in college already lol...i think you are mature enough for a high schooler)

believed it or not i completely understand you. you seem like my boyfriend he never say i love you if he really dont mean it. saying i love you to him is so much precious, it has been preserved and that's why until now whenever he says that i feel different too i can feel the sincerity and i feel much happy and secured. kinda' weird but its true.

I do say I like you ahaha. Girls always say they love being told those 3 words lol which is fine with me as long as their bf actually means it. Maybe it's just that I'm still in high school that I feel this way. I find that all of us are still too little to have a real relationship.

Lol not in College yet...one more year haha.\

Vieren: your bf seems like he only says it at select times which is better than saying it everyday if he doesn't mean it. Seems like a caring bf Big Grin

i just thought you were already in college because of the way you think about things, and hey my husband always says i love you to me like 5 times a day whenever he calls me he said i love you always (and i wish it will always be)
