ooh, i really liked this one... its quite rare to get a movie centered around the music scene, and nana had it all... the music's great, and mika looked seriously cool in her punk-style getup... i was kinda put off that they changed some of the actors in nana 2 though... i prefer the nana1's cast..

one more thing, i didnt realise until much later that the actor acting as ren from nana2 acted as oscar from hana kimi... he was pretty cool in nana, yet such a funnie in hanakimi! XD

I just watched Nana and Nana 2. It's about 2 girls with the same name "Nana" but very different personalities. They meet on the train to Tokyo and fate brings them together to share the same flat. each Nana influences the other in some way. Nana1 was great. Really interesting story. Glad that Hyoji got rid of the cheating boyfriend. Nana 2 wasn't too great. The actress for Hyoji/Nana changed and she wasn't so interesting any more. Plus her character became so weak..

Nana is a good movie. But I think, one thing that makes this movie booming everywhere was it starring Mika Nakashima. Like me, for example, the reason why I choosed to watch it was because my friend tells me that Mika has a role in this movie & also sings some songs for its soundtracks. And I think, some people were the same as me, interested because of Mika's appearance. But after all, this movie is quite interesting. The girl who played the other Nana was good actress too. I haven't watch the Nana 2 although I had bought the DVD. Gonna try to watch it some time between this week, since it's still Fall quarter break, hehehe..
