Has anyone been to Hong Kong?

i've been to HK. its a nice place, however...stuff there are kinda expensive

Hong Kong is amazing! I was there back in November 07 and also in 96 and 97. Back then I managed to get inside the Golden Harvest Studios and backlot and walk around - it was fascinating. I saw Jackie Chans office there - which once belonged to Bruce Lee so I was told. I remember seeing loads of film reels from Jackies moves just lying around from Operation Condor!

It has changed quite a lot, but it still has that unique feel. And everywhere I go reminds me of the movies. I love it there.

I would love to go shopping in Hongkong....just curious this might sound really dumb..but do they speak Mandarin or Cantonese there, im confused cause it was ruled by the british for ages so i thought they all spoke english but apparently not...

Hong Kong is a nice city, there are some tourism spots. But for shopping it's the best. When you are in Hong Kong you might also want to consider going to Shenzhen. It's a very nice city as well (That's where I was based). Also consider taking the boat to Macao, one day is enough and it's only an hour or so by boat.

They speak mainly Cantonese there...because they are Cantonese. English as well, but also Mandarin is more often heard.

I have never been to Hong Kong either before. Well, I have been sort of. Like, I've been to the airport there when having to change flights for a trip once. However, I never really got a chance to explore. Haha I'd love to visit Hong Kong one day, but I'm broke as of now. xD

I went Hong Kong 3 days before Chinese New Year last year... took the opportunity to go to the famous Flower Market. I really like the feeling... so many people, varieties of flowers being displayed, etc.. the atmosphere is so nice... and noisy... like celebration going on...
should go if have the chance.
