Yea this movie was good, i like the fighting and all, but its kinda stupid how the very skillful shinobis didnt come to realize that the emperor is trying to make them kill ea other off. Anyways i like it how they all have their own technique and all, i like how that one samurai dude fite, wish i can fight like that, tho its kinda lame how he got owned x_x by the girls EYE OF DESTRUCTION !!! Anyways lol, this movie is recommend by me if u like fantasy fighting movies.

To those who have not watched Shinobi. Warning if you have watched an anime or read the manga Basilisk you will be very very very disappointed... Also when watching Shinobi don't go watching the movie with high expectations that it's good. It has good special effects but it won't help make the film good. Cause honestly my opinion of this movie is that it sucked and I was very disappointed with the movie. I honestly think I wasted my time watching Shinobi.

I like that movie. But I can't understand why the Emperor Wanna kill them. Also it has a sad ending, that gives us unbelievable entertainment. Because of that ending, It becomes the great movie.

this is a great movie with great special effects however u don't get 2 see the main character fight much

Its a little bit slow for me.. but the graphics are really great.. nice movie though

yea, the manga was better, albeit a little more...mature. shinobi wasn't too bad tho, it was kinda cool how they turned oboro from the weakling she was in the manga to the most powerful shinobi in the iga clan. i dunno tho, they got killed off way too quickly, the only decent fight was yashamaru vs chikuma koshirou. everything else was like, one-hit kill stuff, which is probably more realistic, but who wants realism in a movie about ninja's wit superpowers?? gennosuke and oboro had rigged dojutsu tho; i mean, time warping and instant mutilation? oh wells, it wuda been a hard manga to make into a movie anyway, and they did a pretty decent job.

Synopsis Shinobi is set during the 1600s during the Japanese Warring States Era. Two ninja clans, the Iga and the Kouga, have been waging a war against each other for centuries. Kouga Gennosuke and Oboro, the most powerful members of the opposite clans, coincidentally met and fell in love. The Tokugawa Leyasu, the highest lord in Japan, then pits the two ninja clans in a battle to the death in an event to decide the next shogun. Gennosuke and Oboro must then decide whether their loyalties lie with each other or their clans.

I thought this movie was decent during the first 3/4, and then it kinda sucked at the end.
