Four different new idol groups debuted this week. The groups include MBLAQ, B2ST, JQT and Secret. Each group had their first televised performances.

Boy group B2ST debuted on Music Bank with "Bad Girl."

MBLAQ is the first group under Rain's new label, Jtunes. They have a very unique look and have great dance moves. Check out their performance and debut song for "Oh Yeah"

JQT is one of the new four-member girl groups that has debuted this week. The band raised hype by having posters with the term JQT distributed throughout Seoul. People wondered what JQT meant and searched for it on search engines, making the term "JQT" one of the most searched terms online. JQT debuted on Mnet's M! Countdown with the song "I Fell For You."

Secret is another four member K-pop group that has members from ex-girl band "Five Girls" (also where Wonder Girls Yoo Bin and After School's UEE are from). They debuted on M! countdown with the song "I want You Back."

RE: Several Rookie K-pop groups debut!
several rookie k-pop groups debuting? i think it's more like HELLA! LOL. XD.
but yup i've been up to date with this news as well and so far i'm likeing all the groups listing above except for JQT at the moment......i unno not really into their song.....but i don't know it could grow onto me....i never know lol.. but definitley like Secret, MBLAQ, and B2ST or aka BEAST lol.

a bit more info.

2NE1's Dara younger brother is a member in MBLAQ! i believe he's the last guy in the MBLAQ pic above! lol. going from left to right! lol.

B2ST changed their name to BEAST.

and within BEAST is Lee Ki-Gwang who was new rookie SOLO artist (debut 4 April 2009 ) known as AJ of Dancing shoes!

but chea looks like he putting his solo artist part away to be in an idol group!

The group Secret sounds really good for their debut performance...the song is good, but is quite slow for Koreans' taste...they usually like song that is more catchy and hippy O.O

RE: Several Rookie K-pop groups debut!
out of all the rookie groups i think i'm looking forward to MBLAQ coz it's Rain's group and probably BEAST coz Dara's brother and the guy that got eliminated from Big Bang is there. Smile i think JQT and Secret will have to think of ways to be really different from the rest of the rookie girl groups.

More groups means more music to listen to. Yay! Big Grin

ahh! you two knows the guys in the new groups! I only know Dara's bro in MBLAQ... lol... I haven't really listened to these new group's debut songs, but like ellechar7 said, they really have to stand out to make a difference and not just be a one-hit wonder!

RE: Several Rookie K-pop groups debut!
This is out of the ordinary, but whenever I hear an announcement of new Norean groups, I think back of the old school Korean groups like S.E.S, Fin K.L, and Kiss.

OMG, I even have some of the old MV and performances still..lol old school ftw xD
