Sentence Structure

[ Korean Sentence Structure ]

The structure in Korean is quite a bit different from English. In English we form sentences like this.

I love you.

Subject - verb - object.

The subject is "I", which is the thing person who is performing an action. The verb in this sentence is "love." The object is "you." An object is the thing or person that is acted upon by the subject (in this sentence, YOU is acted upon by "I" because "I" loves "You".

In Korean the structure is this.

Subject - object - verb.

So if the sentence was formed in English, it would be "I you love."

In Korean it would be
na noh saranghae yo.
나너사랑해요.

Na = I
Noh = you
saranghae = love
yo = polite marker that makes the sentence polite

RE: Sentence Structure

That was not difficult, we'll just have to practice it everyday.
