Isn't that quote from Helen Keller? Expect the right/guy/girl thing? This is a very beautiful quote your right, and your advice did help me out thanks. I guess I've been searching for girls even though I'm still in high school, haha. I should wait until that person I truly love comes into my life right?

I believe the quote is trying to tell us is that you can't tend to be with someone if you don't know what you like in that person. Most relationships are by what you like in that person.

Another meaning is that no man or woman are mentally and physically "perfect" to the way you want them to be. Which is why you must learn to adapt to what they have. This comes into play where he must also learn to adapt on what you have. When everything is balanced and compromise that is when you know you found the "right" person for you.

that quote is right. let me explain it like this:

when you are in a relationship whether, boyfriend/girlfriend or married, at first you will thought that this person was the right person for you. but as the days go by, you will both see the differences between the two of you and sometimes you think this is not the person you wish for, but then what the quote says "until you yourself make that person right for you" you will be the one who will try to change (not exactly all) the attitude that you dont like in him. (by explaining and vice versa) and eventually you will notice the difference it make for both of you...and then you will notice that person becomes your perfect mate.

I think, basically, it's just saying, more or less, both people need to change in a relationship. You can't just go out and expect somebody to be perfect for you and change for you, you also have to change for them if you want a relationship to work

Well, we must learn to see the imperfect person perfectly. Then, that would be the right person for you.

Two people must have some common ground and after that it's down to tolerance and acceptance of the other person as they are. Otherwise I think that statement is very true.
